"Comrade Xia Enruo, I didn't expect you to be so enlightened. You're right, as long as you contribute to society, it's meaningful."
As the two chatted, they gradually became acquainted, and the atmosphere in the car warmed up. Xia Enruo then learned that Wu Shaojun worked as a driver for the leaders at a leather factory.
The two went to places selling groceries and fruits in Yongning City one after the other, and even visited the black market breakfast stalls. Watching Xia Enruo select ingredients and bargain at the black market, Wu Shaojun was happy to pay.
A busy morning was thankfully fruitful; Xia Enruo had bought everything she needed. On the way back, Xia Enruo asked:

“I did attend school, but my family was poor, so I dropped out early and now I do odd jobs.”
They had only just met, and she didn't want to tell the truth.
Wu Shaojun dropped her off at the gate of the compound. The two agreed that he would pick her up the next morning to cook at her older sister's house. Xia Enru got out of the car and stood by the roadside to see Wu Shaojun off.
Qiao Huizhen watched from afar, thinking to herself, "This time I've caught you red-handed. Let's see how long you can be so smug."
