Chapter 52 Five Years



How could you bear to leave me alone in this lonely era?

Looking from ancient times to the present and into the future, only Willy is qualified to walk alongside him.

Atheran saw too far and too clearly, which made it even harder for him to let go.

How could I possibly let you leave?

"You already knew, huh?"

Vili understood the king's implication; the king must have already learned everything from the gem containing the magic of time and space, including his origins.

“In that case, you should know even more.” Willy tilted his head, somewhat puzzled. “Time and space are a closed loop. Only when the present me goes back will the future me meet you.”

"How long will that take?"

Decades, or centuries?

After experiencing such warm love, how could he endure such loneliness all by himself?

That was too cruel for him.

Five years.

Vili, however, stretched out his palm and waved it in front of him.

Aetheran founded the academy at the age of thirty and died on his thirty-fifth birthday, exactly five years later.

Aetheran stood there, stunned.

"I promise you, five years from now, you'll see me the moment you open your eyes."

Vili's tone was gentle, as if coaxing a child, but his movements were swift; he had already pulled the black and silver gem from Atheran's arms.

"Besides, didn't you leave an imprint on my soul? No matter where I go, you can bring me back."

Upon hearing this, Atheran finally released his wrist, watching helplessly as Vili took the gem.

You can't lie to me.

Watching the boy's departing figure, his voice was deep and somber.

Willy's response was to wave his hand with his back turned.

He was absolutely not lying, at least not for the past five years.
