To survive, Di Jinghan forced herself to drink a few mouthfuls of the rancid white porridge. She was still waiting for her brother and the others to come and rescue her! Lying in the dry haystack, looking at the dark room, she hugged her arms and sobbed uncontrollably.
Who on earth did this to her?! Her head was spinning, and she cried until she lost all strength and fell into a deep sleep.
Seven days passed in this dark and dreary state. Starving and cold, Di Jinghan was tortured beyond recognition. On the eighth day, two men in black came in to check if she was still alive. They brought her a steamed bun, still warm, and she finally had a decent meal.
Just as she was eating her steamed bun, the two men in black collapsed in front of her. Then, some unfamiliar men in black came in and took away the bewildered, disheveled Di Jinghan, who was pitifully eating her steamed bun.
She was blindfolded and her wrists were tied. She clutched her steamed bun tightly in her hand, refusing to let go. The panic and fear of the past few days were finally released after she was thrown into the carriage, and she was on the verge of collapse.
She cried out, "Who are you? Let me go! I'll give you anything you want!"
The men in black outside didn't speak until Di Jinghan heard them respectfully call her "Master." She then felt someone lift the curtain of the carriage, walk in, and sit down next to her.
Di Jinghan held her breath, shrank back in fear, and cried out in grievance, "Please let me go! I'll give you anything you want!"
The man looked at Di Jinghan, who was blindfolded, with amusement and sneered, "I want the world of Xijing, can you give it to me too?"
Di Jinghan keenly realized that the person in front of her was either from Dongyang or Beixiang. She stopped crying and gently shook her head.
Liu Xinqi smiled and said, "Then how can I let you go? However, you still have some value, so don't worry, your life will be spared for now." With that, he lifted the curtain and went out.
Di Jinghan bit his lip tightly. The fact that she got into the carriage meant that she would be taken away, whether to Dongyang or Beixiang, he didn't know.
However, once they left Xijing's territory, it would be even more difficult for the emperor and his companions to find him again.
