Chapter 169 Pursuit and Confession (Mu Wanyu and Liu Xinqi's Story)

A moment of silence fell over the air. Aunt Liu and her two maids, carrying fruit, happened to hear their young master calling her "baby" outside the door. They got goosebumps all over. When did this young master become so familiar with Miss Mu? Calling her "baby" directly? This young master is too impatient!

Mu Wanyu forced an awkward smile, inwardly speechless. But as the saying goes, "When you're under someone else's roof, you eat their food, drink their drinks, and use their services," so she had no choice but to bow her head. She smiled at Fu Yu, automatically ignoring what she had just said: "Mr. Fu is back. The kitchen has prepared the food. Please eat!"

Mu Wanyu stepped forward and pulled out a chair for him, inviting him to sit down. Fu Yu was still immersed in the awkwardness of the moment, but seeing that the girl's expression had returned to normal, he breathed a slight sigh of relief. It seemed that she didn't mind the way she was addressed.

He sat down, and seeing that Mu Wanyu was still standing, he quickly asked her to sit down as well, his face full of gentle smiles: "Miss Mu, please sit down, don't be so polite."

Mu Wanyu didn't hesitate and sat down to continue eating. Fu Yu chewed elegantly, keeping a close eye on her out of the corner of his eye, making sure to remember the dishes she liked and the ones she picked up many times. After finishing a bowl of rice, Mu Wanyu felt a little full and started eating the strawberries next to her, a happy smile playing on her lips.

Fu Yu noticed some of her expressions and movements, and the corners of his mouth unconsciously turned up: "Miss Mu really likes strawberries?"

Mu Wanyu ate a large, sweet cream strawberry and nodded with a smile: "Yes, Mr. Fu should also eat more fruit; it's good for his health."

Fu Yu nodded happily; she cared about him and told him to eat more fruit! Mu Wanyu, however, didn't notice his little scheme and ate five strawberries before stopping. She wanted to take a walk in the garden to digest her food, but with the host present, she couldn't just leave the table.

Fu Yu ate slowly and deliberately, and seeing that she sat there bored after she finished eating, waiting for him, he quickly sped up his eating, but it still took him 15 minutes to finish.

Mu Wanyu watched him eat with boredom. She had to admit that he ate with great elegance and grace; no wonder he was rich, his manners were impeccable. Fu Yu felt a little uncomfortable under her gaze, but he still tried to remain calm.

After dinner, Mu Wanyu strolled around the garden outside the villa, and Fu Yu quickly followed her: "Miss Mu, are you getting used to living here?"

Mu Wanyu smiled and said, "Mr. Fu's home is very comfortable."

"Why don't you stay here? Miss Mu hasn't decided where to go next yet." Fu Yu's secret thoughts were impossible to hide.

Mu Wanyu didn't know how to answer the question, so she changed the subject: "Mr. Fu, do you know a country called China?"

Fu Yu shook her head. Was this her hometown?

Mu Wanyu sighed slightly. It seemed she couldn't go back. From now on, she could only rely on the richest man in the country to survive.

"Mr. Fu, I'm homeless for the time being. I'll stay here and work for you! That will cover my food and lodging for the next two months. Is that alright?" Mu Wanyu looked at Fu Yu with pleading eyes, afraid that he would disagree.

How could Fu Yu bear to let her do such hard work? He directly refused, "No way!"

Upon hearing this, Mu Wanyu almost burst into tears. But then the man spoke again, "If you want to stay, then stay. Don't worry about paying me back. I don't need the money." His words were somewhat harsh. He had wanted to be gentler, but the thought of her suffering made his heart ache.

Mu Wanyu didn't mind at all. She opened her eyes wide with happiness and said, "Thank you, Mr. Fu. You are such a kind person!"

Seeing that she was no longer sad, Fu Yu smiled happily and said, "From now on, we're friends, so there's no need to be so polite."

Mu Wanyu nodded: "Since we're friends, then call me by my name. You can call me Wanyu or Xiaoyu."

"Xiaoyu, please don't call me Mr. Fu anymore, just call me Ayu."

Today, their relationship took another step forward, and Fu Yu was overjoyed. That night, he was so excited that he tossed and turned in bed. He even got up several times and walked back and forth to Mu Wanyu's door, but he was afraid of disturbing her, so he made sure his footsteps were very quiet.

Aunt Liu got up in the middle of the night to get a drink of water and saw her young master acting suspiciously at Miss Mu's door. She also sneaked upstairs, asking, "Young master, what are you doing? Are you feeling unwell?"

Fu Yu walked awkwardly back to her room and said, "Aunt Liu, I'm fine. You should go back to your room and rest."

Seeing his awkward expression, Aunt Liu said mysteriously, "Young Master, I know you like Miss Mu, good luck!" She raised her arm, clenched her fist in a gesture of encouragement, and went back to her room with her water glass.

Fu Yu glanced at Mu Wanyu's tightly closed door and smiled sweetly. Even Aunt Liu knew that she liked Xiao Yu'er. When would she like her back?

Days passed by, and the two grew increasingly familiar with each other, eventually becoming inseparable friends. Mu Wanyu discovered that Fu Yu, who looked exactly like Liu Xinqi, was completely different from Liu Xinqi. He was intelligent and quick-witted, unlike the domineering CEOs in novels who were often portrayed as mentally unstable; he was a very outstanding person.

The two had been friends for two months, and Liu Xinqi was gradually winning her heart. She often dreamed about him recently, and even dreamed shamefully about the two of them doing *that*, and her face turned red as soon as she woke up in the morning.

She had to admit that she had fallen for him as they spent time together. He remembered her preferences and little habits, often brought her small gifts, said goodnight to her with a smile every day, responded to every word she said, and tolerated her little temper tantrums... Not only did he satisfy her materially, but she never had a moment of trouble when she was with him, which greatly satisfied her emotional needs.

That day, after she finished her shy dream and washed up with a flushed face, Fu Yu knocked on the door to call her for breakfast. She quickly changed her clothes and went out, only to unexpectedly bump into his broad and warm embrace. Her face turned even redder, and she stammered, unable to speak.
