Chapter 119 Lin Xiaoxiao Makes a Move

"Uncle, something's happened!" A young man rushed over, his forehead covered in sweat.

"Why are you in such a hurry?" Wang Shengli asked, frowning.

"Uncle, several wild boars just came down over there in our team's area. Everyone was working in the middle of the day and didn't have any warning. A lot of people got hit."

"What?!" Captain Wang's eyes widened in shock. He even forgot about his precious pipe and turned to run wildly towards the direction where the 5th Brigade was working.

Seeing this, the young man quickly picked up the captain's pipe and then jogged after the captain.

When the brigade leader arrived, he found the field in complete disarray. The newly planted crops were trampled and scattered about, and there were bloodstains mixed in with the mud.

A wounded young man was being carefully carried out by several people, his face contorted in pain.

The captain's eyes were bloodshot with anxiety as he roared, "Why did this wild boar suddenly come down here?!"

This mountain is rich in resources, so there shouldn't be a shortage of food. Why are wild boars running around and causing trouble for people?

Upon seeing the blood on the ground, the brigade leader quickly called for the villagers to come and help deal with the wild boar.

When everyone saw the captain arrive, it was like they had found their pillar of support. Everyone stared at him, hoping he would make a decision.

The people working here aren't just young adults; there are also quite a few children and elderly people.

The children were initially terrified, but when they saw the adults gathering around, they burst into tears.

Lin Xiaoxiao and the children were walking to deliver pig feed when they saw many people carrying tools and running hurriedly in one direction.

"Uncle, what's wrong?" Da Niu couldn't help but ask.

A young man replied, "Wild boars have come to the village! You all need to go back quickly and not run around!"

"Wild boar! Pretty lady, you're amazing! There really are wild boars here!"

Lin Xiaoxiao was also stunned when she heard this, and handed her basket to Da Niu and the others to watch.

She ran home as fast as she could, and as soon as she entered the house, she found the makeshift arrows she had prepared over the past two days.

I put it on and rode my bicycle in the direction everyone else was running.

By this time, the village was already in a bit of chaos.

Lin Xiaoxiao arrived a few minutes later.

Lin Xiaoxiao, carrying arrows on her back, walked briskly through the crowd.

She could tell at a glance that the able-bodied men in the village were having a hard time dealing with these wild boars.

The captain then had someone bring out a hunting rifle, and it seemed that several shots had already been fired, but because of poor accuracy, the situation became even more chaotic.

The wild boars were thoroughly enraged and charged straight at the crowd.

Lin Xiaoxiao quickly found a slightly higher earthen slope, stood on it, and kept her eyes fixed on the wild boars.

She then noticed that the wild boars all seemed to have quite a few injuries. No wonder they reacted so violently, charging at people whenever they saw them; the intense pain had probably driven them mad.

Lin Xiaoxiao quickly took out the arrows she had prepared at home from her basket, nocked the bow and drew the string in one smooth motion.

Her gaze was calm and focused. At that moment, a wild boar was charging toward a man's leg. The man was so frightened that his face turned pale and he couldn't move his feet.

With a "whoosh," the arrow shot out like a meteor, accurately piercing the wild boar's neck.

The wild boar's eyes widened, its body swayed a few times, and then it collapsed to the ground with a thud, raising a cloud of dust.

Upon seeing this, everyone gasped in surprise.

Seeing the arrow stuck in the wild boar's neck, and then looking at Lin Xiaoxiao standing on the earthen slope, completely focused on shooting the arrow, they were all dumbfounded.

The lead wild boar nearby seemed to sense that Lin Xiaoxiao was a dangerous person.

Instead of facing the crowd, he looked up at her and growled twice before charging towards Lin Xiaoxiao.

The wild boar ran swiftly, closing in on its target in an instant; she could even smell its odor.

Lin Xiaoxiao's heart skipped a beat, and she aimed at the wild boar and began to draw her bow.

Whoosh, hitting the vital point precisely.

The injured wild boar struggled forward a few steps before collapsing to the ground with a low, mournful cry.

The surrounding wild boars, witnessing their companion suddenly collapse, were momentarily confused and at a loss.

Seeing this, Lin Xiaoxiao smiled at them.

Seeing this, the wild boars could not tolerate it. They could not bear the provocation, let alone allow their companion to be harmed. The remaining three angrily pounced on her.

Lin Xiaoxiao didn't stop; her hands moved like nimble sprites, constantly nocking, drawing the string, and shooting the arrow.

Arrow after arrow, each carrying immense force. Before the remaining wild boars could even react, they were all struck, collapsing to the ground, struggling and emitting low growls.

Soon, the field quieted down, and only the low growls of the wild boars could be heard fading away.

The young men stared at the wild boar on the ground, then turned to look at Lin Xiaoxiao, who was holding a bow and arrow, their faces filled with astonishment.

"Don't look at me! If he's not quite dead yet, hurry up and finish him off!" Lin Xiaoxiao shouted at everyone.

The crowd then came to their senses, and many people quickly grabbed their machetes and ran to the wild boar, delivering a powerful blow to its neck.

An elderly woman with quick hands and feet found a basin from somewhere, muttering, "Take this basin, this pig's blood will be enough for everyone to eat for a few meals."

Lin Xiaoxiao didn't come down from the high slope. Instead, she carefully observed the surroundings and breathed a sigh of relief only after confirming that there was no sign of wild boars.

She went over to examine the wild boars and found that the wounds on these boars were all suspicious.
