Chapter 36 Fifty Bullets



After exchanging money and goods, Jiang Wenwan rode her bicycle back and happened to run into the brigade leader and his men driving an oxcart. She could guess what it was just by looking at the contents of the cart.

There was another person, Old Man Sun, on the oxcart.

She rode past them on her bicycle, waved to them, and then slowly rode alongside their oxcart, saying:

"Captain, Accountant Wang, you've come back from buying guns?"

What a coincidence! I ran into an old classmate who said he wanted to buy a gun, and he got one for me too. Now I can finally gobble down pig feed without worry.

The brigade leader on the oxcart was speechless; he was even carrying a gun while cutting pig feed.

He took a puff of his pipe and looked at Jiang Wenwan with a speechless expression.

Accountant Wang and the others were amused by her.

"Jiang Zhiqing, your intentions are obvious to everyone!"

Are you gathering pig feed or hunting rabbits?

Jiang Wenwan laughed along.

"I heard there are wolves in the mountains. If I encounter a pack of wolves while gathering pig feed, I can defend myself."

"Hey, you young educated youths really are highly educated, you always have a point."

Hearing this, Jiang Wenwan remembered that his second daughter-in-law was also a sent-down youth.

It seems like he talks a lot at his house.

Sun Laoda looked at Jiang Wenwan with a somber expression and asked:

"That day, my son told you, 'Did he go up the mountain to hunt wild boar?'"

Jiang Wenwan said without changing her expression or skipping a beat:

"Yes!

That day I was gathering pig feed on the mountain when I met him walking uphill. He said he was going to hunt a wild boar to take back, because his grandma's birthday was coming up and he wanted to prepare something delicious for her.
