Every soldier's face was painted with greasepaint, their eyes were cold, and they exuded a murderous aura that only those who had been truly tested by blood and fire possessed.
Su Tang sat in the passenger seat of a military jeep, holding in her hand a map of "Devil's Slope" that she had redrawn from memory overnight, with every depression and corner meticulously detailed.
Since it was she who brought the news, she had to lead the way herself.
The convoy left the military region without making a sound, like ghosts, and headed straight for the western hills of Sunshine City under the cover of night.
As they silently surrounded the hidden cave, the two sentries inside were still yawning, completely unaware that they were about to be ambushed.
The special operations company soldiers moved swiftly and cleanly. Two dark figures flashed by, and the sentry didn't even have time to utter a sound before collapsing limply to the ground.
The battle was over almost instantly.
Under the swift and thunderous raid of the special agents, more than ten armed men inside and outside the mine were all brought under control, while the remaining dozens of coerced laborers were gathered together and kept under guard, each one trembling with fear.
The special operations company commander kicked open the door to a makeshift command room built of wooden planks deep inside the mine.
A tall, foreign man with a hooked nose was frantically stuffing stacks of documents into a burning iron barrel under a kerosene lamp.
"Don't move!"
A soldier pounced like a tiger and pinned him to the ground with a standard grappling move.
Another soldier quickly kicked over the metal bucket and used his military overcoat to extinguish the flames inside.
The spy chief, codenamed "Vulture," has been successfully captured alive!
The company commander picked up a few documents that were blackened by smoke but the handwriting was still relatively clear. After just one glance, his face instantly turned extremely ugly.
He strode out of the command center, approached Deputy Commander Liu who was directing operations at the scene, gave a crisp military salute, his voice trembling slightly with excitement:
"Reporting, sir! We...we've caught a huge fish!"
Deputy Commander Liu took the document and, by the light of a flashlight, saw that it contained detailed mineral vein analysis data and a route map for outward transportation, with the destination pointing directly to the border!
The turmoil surging within him at this moment was beyond words.
Everything at the scene was exactly as Su Tang had described; her deduction was absolutely flawless!
Deputy Commander Liu couldn't help but think more highly of the young woman. He had made the right bet; he hadn't misjudged her! This girl was truly a treasure of their military region!
