Chapter 275 Ambush Through a Clever Plan (2/2)

"Liu Landi, you take eight men and position yourself on the right-hand slope, here." Su Tang pointed to another location. "You are the main attackers. On my signal, push them down as quickly as possible! Don't give them any chance to mount an effective counterattack!"

"Understood!" Liu Landi gripped the dagger tightly, her eyes sharp as knives.

"The rest of you, follow me." Su Tang's gaze fell on the deepest part of that pocket-shaped terrain.

She paused, looking at the soldiers before her, their faces flushed with tension and anticipation.

"Remember, in this operation, I want complete annihilation. Not a single one can escape."

"Did you understand everything?" Su Tang asked.

"Understood!" More than twenty people said in unison, their voices suppressed yet full of power.

"action!"

At a single command, the raiding squad vanished silently into the thick fog and dense forest, like a drop of water disappearing into a swamp.

The swamp returned to its deathly silence, with only the rustling of the wind through the treetops.

Time passed by, second by second.

Gao Kai, lying in ambush on the earthen slope, felt his heart pounding like a drum. He lay prone in the damp mud, mosquitoes buzzing in his ears, but he dared not move.

The young soldier turned pale with fright and froze like a wooden stake, no longer daring to move an inch.

Just then, several figures appeared unsteadily in the distant mist.

Gao Kai's heart jumped into his throat.

He saw the figures getting closer and closer; there were eight of them, advancing in a loose formation.

Their training uniforms were completely different from those of the Third Battalion, and the rifles they carried were equipped with sophisticated muzzle brakes.

The leader was short but agile, looking around like a monkey; he was the "monkey" mentioned in the walkie-talkie.

They walked along, chatting and laughing in hushed tones, appearing very relaxed and at ease.

"Damn it, this godforsaken place, even the air stinks. Let's finish dealing with those useless guys from Battalion Three and go home to wash up and go to sleep."

"Hahaha, when Brother Leopard leads us over tonight, we'll beat them to a pulp, and they'll know what a difference there is!"

"Brother Monkey, do you think we can see their camp? I really want to see them crying and begging for mercy."

The captain, nicknamed Monkey, stopped, raised his binoculars, looked into the distance, and then spat dismissively.

"It's all trees, what a load of crap. But judging from the noise, they're definitely building fortifications, clanging and banging like a blacksmith's shop. A bunch of idiots, thinking a few pieces of wood can stop our grenades?"
