Chapter 4 begins by setting traps for the mother and daughter (1/2)

The original owner was, after all, the legitimate eldest daughter of the Su family. Her mother's private savings and some things that Su Henian had given her over the years were all kept in this room.

Although Jiang Sushuang and her daughter were envious, they probably hesitated because they hadn't completely sent her away yet, or they thought that this "small amount of money" wouldn't get away, so they hadn't had time to clear it out completely.

Su Tang opened the drawer of the dressing table, inside which were several jewelry boxes.

"They're smart enough not to just swallow them all." She opened the largest one.

Inside were some gold and silver jewelry, several pairs of gold bracelets and hairpins, several pearl necklaces, and some rings and earrings inlaid with rubies and sapphires.

Although not as top-tier as the jade bracelet and diamond necklace that Jiang Sushuang and her daughter had previously taken, they were still genuine gold, silver, and gemstones.

"It's better than nothing." Su Tang didn't stand on ceremony. With a thought, the entire jewelry box, along with its contents, vanished from its spot and was stored in a special storage compartment she had created within her space.

Next was a hidden compartment under the wardrobe, inside which was a small, exquisite rosewood box.

Upon opening it, one finds several small gold bars, some loose silver coins, and a few foreign exchange certificates of a small amount.

"receive!"

In the bedside table, I found a velvet bag containing several jade pendants of decent quality and a small mutton fat jade plaque.

It's all energy; we can't waste it.

Like a busy little bee, Su Tang collected everything in the room that she thought was valuable or might be useful in the future.

For example, several imported soaps, an unopened bottle of face cream, several nice cheongsams and brand-new fabrics, and even some books and letters that looked quite valuable were all put into the space.

Her movements were extremely fast; her professional skills as a secret agent allowed her to complete the "sweep" of her room in the shortest possible time.

After she stored the last pair of her prized red-gold earrings into her spatial storage, the spatial notification sounded in her mind again:

"Beep—Energy source detected (precious metals and jade), the spatial core has begun absorbing the treasure's energy..."

"Armory energy unlock progress: 2/100".

"Only two percent?"

It seems that I have too few things in my room, or rather, the quality is not high enough.

However, starting from scratch is already a good start.

Even a tiny mosquito is still meat.

Not a single thread of her things should be given to those ungrateful mother and daughter.

Su Tang was making plans in her mind.

After doing all this, Su Tang remembered a crucial piece of information from the original owner's memories:

Behind the large rosewood bookcase against the wall in her father Su Henian's study, there is a well-disguised secret passage.

According to the original owner's fragmented memories, the Su family's true core assets are stored inside:

This includes land deeds for several important properties of the Su family, a large amount of gold as hard currency reserves, proof of a portion of the real dowry left to her by her mother, and some very important tokens of her connections.

Jiang Sushuang and her daughter Jiang Xinyue probably dream of prying open that secret passage.

I just don't know if I have the ability to open it.

Very good, the next target is the vault in the secret passage of the study.

Su Tang was thinking to herself that the Jiang mother and daughter were probably still plotting to drug her and send her to Tibet.
