The three of them ate their meal quietly, as if all the noise and commotion outside had nothing to do with them.
Su An ate very politely, taking small bites, but not slowly. Her face, pale from being in solitary confinement, was expressionless, as calm as a bottomless lake.

Bai Wei's anger suddenly reached its peak.

"Don't play dumb with me!" she said in a low voice, each word seemingly squeezed out from between her teeth. "You know perfectly well what you did to me!"
Su Tang tilted her head slightly, revealing a perfectly balanced expression that combined innocence and confusion.
