When the time came, Ruan Yunxi woke up Gu Weizhou and gave him an apple to eat on the way.
Gu Weizhou broke the apple open with his bare hands: "You eat half too. I'm leaving. What do you want to eat tonight? I'll make it for you when I get back."
Ruan Yunxi smiled and said, "I want to eat hot pot."
"Sure, chicken hot pot, the kind without chili oil. I'll go to the village to exchange it for a chicken when I come back." Gu Weizhou knew she had to avoid spicy food, so she could only have hot pot, a mild flavor with fewer seasonings, which would be better for her health.
