Chapter 209: Happy First Birthday (2/2)

If he were gone for more than ten days and came back, the little brothers would almost not recognize him. They would stare wide-eyed and look closely before realizing that it was their father.

Little Softie couldn't accept that her father looked so dark, so she turned her head and reached out to Ruan Yunxi, not wanting him to hug her.

Gu Weizhou: "......"

...

That day, Gu Weizhou was going away for training for another ten days to half a month before he would return, leaving the household affairs to Ruan Yunxi.

He held onto the little gummy bears tightly, saying, "When I come back, they'll be a year old, but I won't be able to celebrate their birthdays with them."

"Training is the priority. By the time you come back, they'll probably all be calling you 'Dad'," Ruan Yunxi reassured them.

Gu Weizhou was overjoyed: "Really?"

"It's wrapped." Ruan Yunxi nodded affirmatively.

Gu Weizhou said expectantly, "Don't be lazy. Teach them to call you 'Dad' whenever you have free time. I'll come back and check if they've succeeded!"

Ruan Yunxi smiled and nodded, then hugged him: "Be careful, come back soon, the children and I are waiting for you at home."

Gu Weizhou kissed his forehead, and then kissed the little soft candy.

Then look at the nanny holding the little one, who is also pouting.

Gu Weizhou smiled and leaned his face closer, only to have the little boss spit all over his face.

The little one in his arms looked up at them kissing, then opened its mouth and gave him a kiss on the chest, wetting his clothes with its saliva.

Gu Weizhou: "......"

Ruan Yunxi didn't slack off; after Gu Weizhou left, she kept asking, "Do you miss your father?"

"Dad went to training and won't be back for a few days."

"Your dad misses you too, come and tell me, Dad!"

The three little ones looked at her with adorable smiles, but wouldn't open their mouths.

Ruan Yunxi felt frustrated, but she knew that she couldn't rush things, so she cheered herself up and continued to talk to them more about their father.

If the word "Dad" is used a few more times, I'm sure they won't remember it.

We didn't have a big celebration when our three children turned one year old.

Gu Weizhou wasn't home, and Ruan Yunxi didn't want to make a fuss.

So we invited Sister Sheng and her family over for a meal to make it more lively.

Dinner was prepared by the nanny, and Sister-in-law Sheng helped to soothe the children and lend a hand.

We had sweet and sour pork ribs for dinner, and Xiaoying and the others ate them first.

Sweet and sour pork is a must.

There's also poached chicken, which Ruan Yunxi wants to eat.

And seafood is served in one pot; the seafood was collected by Sister Sheng while she was out surfing the beach, so it can be added as an extra dish.

Another braised mackerel and a salt and pepper mantis shrimp, which is also what Ruan Yunxi wants to eat.

There was also an oyster omelet, and the last dish was an egg and wakame soup.

With so many dishes, everyone can eat as much as they want.

The eldest brother and his friends watched everyone eating and drinking, and one of them opened his mouth and called out, "Dad!"

Ruan Yunxi thought she had misheard: "What's his name?"

The old woman chuckled, "She's calling for her father. She probably missed him because she didn't see him eating with us!"

The eldest child seemed to understand, nodded, and called out again, "Dad!"

Ruan Yunxi excitedly hugged the little one and kissed him: "He's my darling. If your dad heard this, he'd be overjoyed. Come on, call him again."

Before the eldest could speak, the second child called out in a childish voice, "Daddy!"

Ruan Yunxi happily hugged the little one again: "Oh, the little one can call me 'Daddy' now, how good!"

When the older child saw that his mother was hugging his younger brother instead of him, his fierce competitive spirit caused him to explode with words, shouting, "Mommy!"

Ruan Yunxi: "......"
