Yan Han said very seriously, "No, I'm not jealous! Please do as you please!"
Yan Han genuinely didn't care that Yi Wei was flirting with others. Although he had always treated her like a younger sister, she had grown up and it was only natural for her to fall in love. As long as the other person was reliable, Yan Han had no objection.
Yi Wei stared at him intently, as if trying to see a trace of lying or concealment on his face, but she was disappointed.
There wasn't a trace of jealousy on his face.
Yi Wei found it hard to accept the fact that Yan Han didn't love her at all. Pointing to the gift she had just received, she asked.
"If you don't have those feelings for me, why did you send me a gift like this?"
Yan Han looked at her strangely, "Didn't you say you wanted a gift in pairs? I specially asked someone to prepare it!"
These two brocade scarves were bought after quite a bit of trouble.

He was afraid that if he didn't leave, Yi Wei would rush up to him again and say that she liked him and loved him.
For Yan Han, however, liking and loving were completely foreign concepts. Or, even if they weren't foreign, liking and loving meant a burden to him.
He heard too many tragic love stories from his grandparents about how his parents loved each other passionately when they were young, and how they were willing to offend their families and waste more than a decade for it.
Therefore, from a young age, he believed that love and liking were nothing more than useless burdens.
He never considered that the reason he and Yi Wei could maintain such a good relationship for so long might be because of liking and love.
After being confessed to by Yi Wei, Yan Han spent about half an hour, on his way back to the Yan family from the hotel, before he figured it out.
The reason he and Yi Wei were able to maintain a relationship for so long was twofold. Firstly, his parents instilled in him from the beginning the concept that Yi Wei was his sister. Secondly, Yi Wei was able to tolerate everything about him, whereas with others, it wasn't that he deliberately resisted, but rather that others simply couldn't tolerate him.
As for him, his feelings for Yi Wei were mostly just a habit.
For example, he always keeps his things in the same place.
For example, he always does the same things at fixed times: get up, exercise, eat, work, and sleep, without exception.
Therefore, to him, Yi Wei was nothing more than someone he had kept by his side since childhood, someone he called his younger sister.
It has nothing to do with liking, and it certainly can't be love!
Yan Han figured everything out in half an hour and put Yi Wei's matter out of his mind as soon as he got home.
He also thought that after talking things out with Yi Wei, the two of them would quickly return to their previous relationship.

If anyone is to blame, it's himself. He was so worried about Yi Wei's safety that he completely ignored Zhu Qianying's feelings.
Therefore, although he has suffered a lot of pain over the past five years because of Zhu Qianying's departure, he has maintained the same brother-sister relationship with Yi Wei as before.
Although Yi Wei looks noticeably different from before, the doctor said that considering the extent of her injury at the time, her current recovery is already quite good.
