Yan Shao is no ordinary person after all; disappointment and pain cannot truly defeat him.
In his life dictionary, the word "give up" has never existed.
Once he sets his mind on something, he will obtain it by any means necessary, regardless of the method or means.
This is why, for the past five years, he has been searching for Zhu Qianying day after day, even though she has remained completely out of contact.
"It won't happen again!"
Yan Shao's words seemed to be an answer to Qin Xiu's question, "What's so great about that Miss Yi?", and also a promise he made to himself.
Qin Xiu was stunned again. It was rare for the master to admit his mistake so cleanly and decisively!
Just as I was thinking about whether or not to flatter the boss and praise him for being a good young man who corrects his mistakes, I heard the boss say...
"Tell the secretary to prepare. The meeting will proceed as scheduled!"
After giving his instructions, Young Master Yan buried himself in his work and began to work diligently.
The confusion and regret I felt gradually faded away.
He had quickly outlined three main principles for Zhu Qianying.
If there's a misunderstanding, explain it!
If there is pain, offer comfort!
If there's an obstacle, remove it!
From now on, he will adhere to these three principles when facing Zhu Qianying again.
In his view, it is more practical to spend time creating new conditions and environments to fight for it again than to spend time regretting it.
In the afternoon, Yan Shao left work almost an hour earlier than usual. However, he didn't seem to have any urgent business to attend to. Instead, he had the driver take the car to a fruit shop that was said to have the freshest and most authentic fruit. Following the owner's recommendation, he bought a bunch of fresh fruit.
About half an hour later, he rang the doorbell of Zhu Qianying's house, carrying fruit.
It was Zhu Qianying who opened the door.
I was slightly surprised to see him.
She thought that she had made her point so clearly that such an arrogant man as Young Master Yan would never set foot in her house again.
As it turned out, she didn't know this man very well. At least, her understanding of him as he was now was neither comprehensive nor accurate.
"Ying'er, are you feeling better?" The man outside the door asked about her health before she could even say anything.
This prevented her from forcefully shutting him out as she had done a few nights earlier.
"I took a nap at noon and I feel much better!" Zhu Qianying opened the door, stepped aside, and let Yan Shao into the house.
After entering the room, Yan Shao carefully examined her face and found that her complexion was indeed much better than when he left in the morning, which indicated that she had indeed been resting well.
"These fruits are good for throat recovery."
Yan Shao handed the large bag of fruit he had bought to Zhu Qianying. As she reached out to take it, he suddenly remembered that she was still a patient, so he withdrew his hand.
He bent down, changed his shoes, and carried the large bag into the kitchen.
"Where's Mom?" After entering the house, Yan Shao didn't see Chen Jing and assumed she was in the kitchen.
But the kitchen was eerily quiet; there was no sign of people, not even a hint of anything else.
"She went out to look for a job!"
Zhu Qianying only discovered the note left by her mother after she woke up. It's likely that her mother's illness caused her to go out and look for work again.
She followed Yan Shao into the kitchen and casually sat down next to the counter.
Yan Shao opened the refrigerator and tried to put the fruit from the bag into it.
He hunched over, his back to Zhu Qianying, and said, "Let Mom go look for it a few days later!"
Zhu Qianying frowned slightly. "Young Master Yan, you don't need to worry about this!"
After laying everything out to him, Zhu Qianying became much more uninhibited in her speech.
Yan Shao turned around, stood up straight, and looked at her. Even though her tone was displeased, he didn't seem annoyed.
“Ying’er, don’t you know very well that unless she quits her old job, she definitely won’t be able to find work in L City?”
Zhu Qianying remained silent, because she knew he was telling the truth.
With neither the Ji family nor the Yan family interfering, it was indeed difficult for my mother to find a suitable job in L City.
"Have you considered opening your own private restaurant? Yanhuang happens to have some shops nearby that are available for rent or sale at very reasonable prices. If you have time, you can contact Qin Xiu to see if there are any suitable locations."
To be honest, Yan Shao's suggestion really appealed to her.
After all, she had already made similar plans before. However, the nearby shops were either in operation or being transferred, and the transfer fee alone was a huge expense. In addition, there would be investment in decoration and facilities later, and she did not have enough cash on hand to pay for this large sum of money.
Seeing that she looked like she was deep in thought, Yan Shao knew that she was wavering, so he put the fruit on the counter and took her arm and walked out.
Zhu Qianying looked at him, puzzled. "What?"
Yan Shao pulled her to the living room, picked up the iPad she had casually tossed on the coffee table, opened a webpage, and handed it to her.
"These are the shops I told you about. Although they're not in the most bustling areas, they're perfect for opening a private restaurant. Each one has a layout plan and detailed information, and the prices are listed. Take a look for yourself."
After explaining, Yan Shao turned around and went back to the kitchen to work on the fruit he had bought.
Judging from Yan Shao's tone, Zhu Qianying didn't seem to be trying to force him to give it away. Since it was a rental, it didn't really matter whether she rented Yanhuang's or something else.
Having adjusted her mindset, Zhu Qianying began to seriously study the shops.
However, she is a jewelry designer, not an interior designer, so she doesn't quite understand many of the technical terms used to describe shops.
"Young Master Yan, what is the meaning of this place?"
Zhu Qianying, holding an iPad, reappeared behind the man.
Yan Shao turned around, glanced at what she was pointing to, and patiently explained.
When Chen Jing returned home after going out to look for a job, she found her daughter and Yan Shao in the kitchen. One of them was curled up in front of the refrigerator, and the other was holding an iPad and leaning against the counter. They seemed to be doing their own things, but they were also talking about something. The atmosphere was incredibly harmonious and joyful.
Chen Jing forcefully dismissed the pile of guesses, "Young Master Yan, what are you looking for?"
She assumed that Young Master Yan wanted to get a drink, so she put down the ingredients she was carrying and immediately walked behind him.
"Mom, you're back?" Yan Shao turned to her and smiled. "I bought some fruit and I'm putting it in the refrigerator."
Chen Jing glanced at the refrigerator and saw that there were indeed two or three kinds of fresh fruit inside. However, the jams and fruits that were originally arranged neatly were now a mess, and it was an eyesore.
Indeed, men, especially young master Yan, simply shouldn't be in the kitchen!
"I'll do it. You and Ying'er go outside and sit for a while!"
