On the phone, Zhu Qianying only briefly mentioned that Zhu Zhizhou and Luo Yifan were going to move to the apartment. Now that they were in person, under Yan Shao's detailed questioning, Zhu Qianying told him the whole story.
"Zhu Junwei was influenced by the brand of Jingjing Restaurant..."
After listening, Young Master Yan said the following.
"Why? Isn't Mingxuan a more well-known brand than Jingjing Restaurant?"
Regarding the reason why Zhu Zhizhou came to disgust her mother, Zhu Qianying had considered the possibility that Yan Shao mentioned, but after thinking about it carefully, she felt that it was not very likely to be true.
"Fool, Mingxuan is a well-known brand, but it has been declining in recent years. Moreover, it has always targeted the high-end market, while Jingjing Restaurant is on the rise, and with great momentum. Furthermore, Jingjing Restaurant is positioned in the mid-range market. If Zhu Zhizhou can win back Mom, it means that Mingxuan's market and Jingjing Restaurant's market will merge together. Think about it, that's not a simple 1+1=2 equation; the result could be infinitely large!"
After Yan Shao's explanation, Zhu Qianying realized that her thinking was not deep enough.
"Unfortunately, both Zhu Zhizhou and Zhu Junwei overlooked Uncle Luo."
Zhu Qianying was very fortunate that her mother was no longer the person who had no bargaining chips.
Besides her daughter Xiaoyu, she also has Luo Yifan and her own career. That's why she can be so domineering and tell Zhu Zhizhou to get lost today!
“Yes, I guess Zhu Zhizhou still doesn’t believe that Mom and Luo Yifan can really get together.” Yan Shao also agreed with Zhu Qianying’s opinion.
In fact, if all of this hadn't happened right under her nose, even Zhu Qianying, as her daughter, probably wouldn't have believed it.
After all, Luo Yifan and his mother seem to come from two completely different worlds.
Upon hearing Zhu Qianying mention that Luo Yifan had moved into an apartment, Yan Shao couldn't help but tease, "Why doesn't he just propose?"
Zhu Qianying had considered this point.
"I think Uncle Luo doesn't want to be too hasty!"
Every woman hopes to be cherished and to be treated gently by the one she loves.
However, not many men understand these things.
Most men are actually quite self-righteous.
They thought they had given women so much—endless money and endless material comforts—and that was enough.
But they failed to give women one thing: respect.
What moved Zhu Qianying, his daughter, was not his money or anything like that, but rather his respect for his mother.
As Yan Shao and Zhu Qianying were chatting, a chubby little face suddenly appeared on the glass wall of the kitchen. That chubby little face was none other than Zizai's plump cheeks.
The little guy, soaking wet in his swim trunks, grinned and waved to Yan Shao and Zhu Qianying in the kitchen, and Yan Shao waved back.
"Xiao Luzi doesn't know about Bai Shao yet, does he?"
Yan Shao's gaze shifted from his son to the small figure in the pool behind him.
"I didn't tell her!"
Zhu Qianying was afraid that if she told Bai Xiaolu too early, any delays would frighten the little girl.
"Well, it's better not to say." Young Master Yan actually understood better than anyone that the risks of those secret passages were much greater than those of normal routes.
"Go and keep those two company. It'll take me another half hour to finish this."
Young Master Yan had been with her for about ten minutes. She was fine with it, but she was worried about keeping him bored.
Yan Shao glanced at his son, who was still frantically making faces and waving at them, and kissed Zhu Qianying on the cheek. "Then I'll go swim a few laps with them."
A few minutes later, Yan Shao, now dressed in swimming trunks, appeared at the poolside.
Zhu Qianying was peeling shrimp when her gaze inadvertently drifted out and caught sight of Young Master Yan's long, straight legs and strong, muscular physique. She couldn't look away for a long time.
As if sensing her gaze, Young Master Yan turned around, grinned at her, and then blew her a kiss.
Zhu Qianying met his teasing smile and realized that she had once again fallen for him without realizing it. Despite her ears burning, she still blew a kiss back at Young Master Yan.
She's a married woman; how could she let her husband flirt with her?
He flirted with her, so she should flirt with him back!
Standing by the pool, Young Master Yan seemed to have guessed her thoughts. He reached out as if to give her a kiss, then made a heart shape with his hands and offered it to her.
The little boy, who was lying on the edge of the pool, watched as his dad stood by the pool, constantly throwing flirtatious glances at his mom but refusing to get into the water. He couldn't help but click his tongue twice.
"Daddy, that's so cheesy..."
Young Master Yan waved to Zhu Qianying again before bending down to pinch his son's chubby cheeks. "This isn't mushy, this is love!"
The young master clicked his tongue twice, rubbed his arm, and snorted, "Goosebumps all over... and you still say it's not cheesy!"
Young Master Yan patted the little guy's head with a smile, "You little rascal, when you start coaxing your wife, you'll know that this isn't cheesy, it's genuine!"
The little guy tilted his head back and snorted, "I don't need to coax anyone!"
Young Master Yan chuckled and shook his head. "Baby, don't speak too confidently, or you'll regret it!"
As Bai Xiaolu swam over from the other side, she suddenly heard Yan Shao's words and couldn't help but become curious.
"Uncle Yan, what bad thing has Zizai done this time?"
Clearly, she misunderstood Yan Shao's words.
Yan Shao picked her up and placed her by the pool. "Zizai didn't do anything bad. He just looks down on Uncle Yan."
Bai Xiaolu didn't really understand what Yan Shao meant. She tilted her head and thought for a moment, but still couldn't figure it out. "Uncle Yan, you're very capable. Why does Zizai look down on you?"
Zizai used his fingers to pry open his eyelids, rolled his eyes at Yan Shao, and then stuck out his tongue and made a face.
"Yeah, I look down on you for being afraid of your wife!"
The little guy was mostly joking when he said that, because he could sense that his dad wasn't afraid of his mom, but rather loved and respected her.
However, being so young, he couldn't yet categorize this feeling in words, so he described his father's frequent soft-spoken behavior in front of his mother as "being afraid of his wife."
After the little guy finished speaking defiantly, fearing that his father would hold him accountable, he plunged his head into the water.
How could Young Master Yan let him off so easily? He followed him and plunged into the water. With his long arms and legs, he easily caught up with his precious son, pulled him into his arms, and then, holding him, they both emerged from the water.
