Chapter 712. Returning Home Safely

The next morning, the little one woke up very early, and the first thing he said as soon as he opened his eyes was, "Mommy, I'm hungry..."

Fortunately, Zhu Qianying was also concerned about her precious son's health. She got up before five o'clock to make some thick soup, and then used the soup to cook some rice porridge to ensure nutrition and aid digestion.

The little guy opened his sleepy eyes and took a bite of rice cereal.

Perhaps it was because she hadn't eaten this kind of food specifically for babies in a long time, she frowned slightly.

Zhu Qianying assumed it was just bad taste. "Disgusting?"

Zizai shook his head, "Why is it mushy?"

His voice was much clearer than yesterday's hoarseness, and it sounded much more confident.

This time, Zizai ate a whole bowl of rice porridge.

After finishing the rice cereal, Yan Shao thought he was going to carry him to wash his face and brush his teeth. Although the order was a bit messed up, even someone with Yan Shao's obsessive-compulsive disorder wouldn't mind in such a special situation, let alone Zhu Qianying.

"I can do it myself..."

Zizai refused his parents' offer and tried to get off the bed by himself.

Yan Shao quickly bent down to help him put on his shoes, and then picked him up and put him on the ground.

Zizai held onto the bed, not in a hurry to leave. Instead, he kicked his feet and shook his hands. After confirming that he was okay, he slowly walked towards the bathroom, still holding onto the bed.

Yan Shao was worried and followed him into the washroom.

Then, while Zhu Qianying was tidying up, she heard a conversation between the father and son coming from the washroom.

"Daddy, please go outside, I need to pee..."

"It's pee, Daddy's seen it before..."

"No, he's a grown man now..."

"Daddy was holding you while you peed last night..."

"How is this possible..."

Then, amidst the bickering between the father and son, another splashing sound came.

Clearly, the little guy couldn't hold back any longer and took care of himself before he could even get rid of Young Master Yan.

After the little one finished washing up, the hospital director was already waiting outside with doctors and nurses.

It turned out that Young Master Yan was still not entirely at ease. Just to be on the safe side, he asked the hospital director to give Zizai another full-body check-up using the most sophisticated instruments. Only after confirming that there was nothing seriously wrong did he complete the procedures to discharge Zizai from the hospital.

Zhu Qianying had no objection to this, after all, for many injuries that are not visible to the naked eye, it is more reliable to check with instruments.

The entire examination took half a day. Some results were not available immediately, so after the examination, the family of three stayed until the afternoon. After most of the important test results came out and it was confirmed that the little guy really had no other major problems except for some minor skin injuries, Yan Shao helped him with the discharge procedures, and the family of three returned to their seaside villa.

Zizai's mental state is much better than when he first woke up last night. Of course, it can't compare to his usual energetic self, but at least he doesn't make people feel anxious anymore.

Although Yan Shao and Zhu Qianying both wanted to know what had happened to Zizai, Zizai hadn't mentioned it at all since waking up, so they didn't feel comfortable asking, or even dared to ask.

Of course, they really wanted to find out who was behind this as soon as possible. Otherwise, given Zai Zai's personality, he would never have gone to that viewing platform to watch the waterfall and then fallen into the deep pool.

But they were also afraid that if they actually asked, it would remind Zizai of the terrible scene from that time. He was only five years old, and they were afraid he wouldn't be able to handle it.

Yan Shao privately consulted Teacher Xiao, who advised him to hold off for now. The gist of the advice was to see if Yan Shao would bring it up on his own initiative. If he didn't, then Yan Shao would have to choose a suitable time and use appropriate techniques to ask him.

Of course, Zizai was unaware of his parents' anxious and conflicted feelings. He had heard that Xingxing had brought his parents to find him, so as soon as he got out of the car, he went straight to the doghouse in the garden.

The little guy walked quite slowly, while Xingxing, who had been squatting there with her eyes closed, seemed to sense that her little master had returned. She opened her eyes, looked around, and then jumped up and ran towards Zizai, barking.

Zhu Qianying and Yan Shao exchanged a glance. "You stay with our son, I'll go cook dinner!"

Zhu Qianying left the father and son behind and went straight into the house.

Yan Shao slowly strolled over and saw from afar that the little guy was bending down and hugging Xingxing, his little face pressed against Xingxing's face and rubbing against hers, his mouth opening and closing, as if he was having a secret conversation with Xingxing.

Xingxing, on the other hand, rubbed against him obediently, whimpering softly, its tail wagging happily.

Yan Shao stopped and sat down on a stone bench by the path, watching from a distance as the man and dog interacted intimately.

As the sun gradually moved westward, the sky and sea behind Zizai and the dog were bathed in a crimson glow, and Zizai's small body shone even brighter in the light.

Yan Shao stood up, walked over, and reached out his hands to touch Zizai and Xingxing respectively.

"Sweetie, come inside and play, okay?"

Yan Shao was worried that the little guy was too weak to withstand a long period of physical exertion, so he coaxed him back to the house in a soft voice.

Zizai was aware of his physical condition, so he obediently opened his arms and wrapped them around Yan Shao's neck.

Yan Shao lifted him up by the bottom, kissed the tip of his nose which was slightly damp with sweat, and looked down at Xingxing, who was barking softly, and said, "Xingxing, let's go inside and play!"

As if it could understand human speech, Xingxing wagged its tail and followed Yan Shao into the house.

As Yan Shao was holding Zizai, he squatted down in the entryway to let Zizai sit on his lap, then reached out and put slippers on the little guy.

The little guy still hugged his neck, and after he changed his shoes, he swung his legs comfortably and gave Yan Shao a kiss on the cheek. "Thank you, Daddy!"

Yan Shao patted his head, stood up, changed into slippers, and walked into the living room.

Zizai pointed to the kitchen, "Daddy, go see what delicious food Mommy is making."

Yan Shao then carried him to the kitchen. It had been a while since Zizai had been so clingy to him, so Yan Shao cherished this intimacy even more.

Without a word of complaint, she carried him to behind Zhu Qianying and asked, "Mommy, what delicious food are you making?"

Zizai let go of one hand and climbed onto Zhu Qianying's shoulder.

Zhu Qianying turned to look at the father and son. "The doctor said that it's best for Zizai to eat some liquid food for the next couple of days. Mommy made soup and porridge, and your daddy and I will eat noodles."

The family had plenty of ingredients, but Zhu Qianying didn't dare to cook a lavish meal because Zizai was only fit for light meals right now, and she and Yan Shao naturally couldn't indulge in rich and heavy dishes in front of him.

"oh……"

Zizai was clearly disappointed, but he seemed to understand that this was unavoidable, so he didn't say anything more.

Zhu Qianying quickly assured him, "In a few days, Mommy will cook a big meal for you, Zizai!"
