Winter Romantic Trip

Winter Romantic Trip

Tingyue and Xu Sheng were chatting happily, their laughter rising and falling, speaking in voices only loud enough for the two of them to hear, deliberately letting them see them, completely unaware that Jiang Hui had already approached.

As soon as Jiang Hui arrived, Qi Xu's gaze never left him, which made Hao Nan, who was standing next to him, extremely unhappy.

He strode over to Qi Xu's side, and Qi Xu glanced at him with a helpless expression.

Most of those present had only met Jiang Hui a few times and weren't very familiar with him, except for the Ting siblings and Hao Nan.

"Are you really planning to join?" Wan Xiaoyi was still a little hesitant and asked again to confirm.

Jiang Hui glanced at Hao Nan and nodded in agreement, "We should always give face to a good friend."

Wan Xiaoyi stood up and walked over to him: "Okay." Then she called out to the two people who were chatting excitedly not far away: "Xu Sheng! Tingyue."

The two people came over upon hearing the sound.

Xu Sheng leaned closer to Tingyue and whispered, "How about it? You'll have to help me out more in the future."

Tingyue's gaze fell on Jiang Hui, and she gave a faint "hmm".

“Jiang Hui wants to join us, so Tingyue will be in his group,” Wan Xiaoyi said, secretly observing Xu Sheng’s reaction.

Upon hearing this arrangement, Tingyue immediately ran to Jiang Hui's side, unable to hide her smile.

"Hey, why should I?" Xu Sheng protested.

"What do you mean?" This time, Wan Xiaoyi also got angry.

"You're pairing Tingyue with him, but what about me?"

Wan Xiaoyi was so angry she almost vomited blood. How come she never noticed he was like this before? Did he have to spell everything out for her to be satisfied? It was infuriating!

"So who do you want to be in a group with?" Wan Xiaoyi asked, suppressing her anger and trying to control her temper.

"Let me think about it." Xu Sheng rested his chin on his hand, glancing around at his surroundings, but refusing to look at Wan Xiaoyi.

Wan Xiaoyi was furious. He still wanted to? He'd been thinking for so long, looking around, did he want to pick someone else? She stared coldly at Xu Sheng, wanting to see what kind of trouble he was up to.

Finally, Xu Sheng's gaze fell on Wan Xiaoyi, and he had an idea.

He walked up to her and said, "After looking around, I feel that you are the one who suits my taste the most, and you are the one who is most suitable for a duet with me."

Those watching their interaction couldn't help but laugh.

Everyone has someone they care about standing beside them.

Qi Xu laughed even harder, finding the interaction between the two like watching a comedy, which was particularly interesting.

She turned to Hao Nan and laughed, "Those two are really funny."

Seeing his beloved smiling so happily, Hao Nan felt a warmth in his heart and unconsciously smiled along with her.

Bai and Han Xue exchanged a smile after hearing this.

"It's quite interesting," Han Xue said, looking at the two of them.

"You like this?" Ting Xubai asked directly.

"I don't like it. If it weren't for Wan Xiaoyi's good temper, he would have been in trouble long ago." Han Xue looked at the two of them, thought for a moment and said, "If it were me, I would have taken action long ago."

Hearing Xu Bai laugh, his laughter was not loud, but it was hearty and elegant.

Wan Xiaoyi sneered, "Do you think you're an emperor choosing his concubines?"

"Jump if you can, walk if you can't." She took a step back, creating some distance.

"I'm not the emperor, how can I choose concubines?" Xu Sheng was still joking around.

"What, you really want to choose?" Wan Xiaoyi was completely enraged by him, and her temper suddenly flared up. "Then don't choose, just grow old alone!"

Wan Xiaoyi ignored him, leaving him to his own devices, and turned to the others, saying gently, "Let's continue training."

Everyone else was ready and began training.

Xu Sheng panicked: "Xiao Yi, I've been practicing for so long, it's not fair to not let me play."

Wan Xiaoyi turned around and ignored him completely.

He started pestering her relentlessly, refusing to give up.

When gentle persuasion failed, he resorted to force, grabbing Wan Xiaoyi's wrist and pulling her towards him.

"What are you doing?" Wan Xiaoyi tried to break free.

"If you want to dance with me, just say so. Don't keep it bottled up inside."

His words struck a chord with Wan Xiaoyi, and she stopped talking and jumped up to match his movements.

The two worked together with remarkable harmony, dancing with open hearts and great joy, time and time again.

Carnival day was in the evening, and a light, misty snowflake drifted down from the sky, adding a special atmosphere to the festivities.

Everyone performs in their own area, without being limited by venue, and can also watch other people's performances; do whatever makes you happy.

Some people wear outlandish costumes just to have fun.

Some people set up stalls selling desserts and snacks.

There were people dancing—gentle, wild, and in pairs—you name it.

Some people even imitated foreign festivals, dressing up in various costumes and asking each team for candy.

There are plenty of sketches and comedy shows; there are no shows you can't see, only shows you can't imagine.

The members of "The Waltz of Love" gathered together, except for Qi Xu and Hao Nan.

The girls had long, flowing hair and wore well-matched dresses that were very warm, with a predominantly warm color palette.

Most of the boys wore black clothes, just in different styles.

Hao Nan arrived as quickly as possible. As soon as he appeared, everyone's eyes were on him, and the noisy environment instantly quieted down.

He was dressed in a black trench coat and sweater, making him stand out from the crowd.

He looked around and asked, "Where's Qi Xu? I don't see her."

"They're here! They're here!" came the voice of Qi Xu from not far away.

Her long hair was slightly wavy, and she wore a black skirt under a black trench coat as she ran wildly through the snow.

At that moment, it was as if time and space had stood still.

Hao Nan watched her run towards him, and his bright smile softened his expression as he smiled back.

As she approached, Hao Nan unconsciously stretched out his hands, as if welcoming his lover.

Qi Xu's gaze fell on his face, and when she caught sight of his outstretched arm, she turned to walk around him, but unexpectedly, there was a stone under her feet, and she tripped and fell.

The joy on her face instantly turned into horror, and she lunged straight at Hao Nan.

Hao Nan caught her, his eyes overflowing with love, his pupils filled with Qi Xu's image.

Instinctively, Qi Xu also reached out to Hao Nan, afraid that he would fall to the ground and get hurt.

Hao Nan caught her steadily and regained his balance.

The two stared at each other, neither breaking the silence.

Tingyue suddenly spoke up: "Did you two plan this outfit together? You look like a couple."

Jiang Hui tugged at her sleeve, signaling her not to say anything more, but she still spoke anyway, and Jiang Hui helplessly rubbed his forehead.

Upon hearing this, everyone realized what was happening. Qi Xu tried to break free from his embrace, but Hao Nan held her even tighter, causing her to frown.

Hao Nan noticed her displeasure, quickly let go of her hand, looked at her, and carefully explained, "I'm sorry, I was afraid you would fall, so..."

Before he could finish speaking, Qi Xu interrupted him with a "thank you." He looked at her, said nothing more, and after a long while, gave a helpless "hmm."

Wan Xiaoyi picked up the microphone and shouted, "Everyone, don't miss out! Let's begin this romantic winter dance party!"

Her microphone was loud enough and her voice was clear enough to attract a lot of people instantly, largely because Hao Nan was there.

They exchanged smiles and looked at their dance partners.

Only Qi Xu and Hao Nan barely interacted throughout, acting like two strangers forced to cooperate.

Qi Xu could feel the warmth from his palm, and her heart felt itchy and uncomfortable.

Seeing her like this, Hao Nan couldn't help but loosen his grip on her hand, afraid of upsetting her.

Everyone was ready, the music started playing softly, and everyone danced to the rhythm.

Just then, as if the sky had come to its senses, large snowflakes suddenly began to fall.

The gentle song, paired with the soft dance steps, and the snow-covered night, created an exceptionally beautiful scene.

The girls danced gracefully, like winter fairies.

The boys, on the other hand, were like knights protecting the princess.

After the dance ended, everyone turned around gracefully and bowed to the audience.

Wan Xiaoyi raised the microphone: "Thank you for watching, could you give me some applause?"

The audience below the stage was still immersed in the wonderful scene just now and did not react for a moment.

Qi and Xu thought the performance was bad because no one applauded, so the performance seemed rather boring.

Holding the microphone, Wan Xiaoyi looked at the audience, somewhat at a loss. She shook the microphone back and forth in her hand, trying to hide her embarrassment and disappointment.

After a while, some people in the crowd started clapping, and then the applause grew louder and louder, resounding throughout the entire venue.

The enthusiastic applause made Wan Xiaoyi beam with joy. She raised the microphone to thank everyone, and then smiled at Xu Sheng beside her, looking as if she had won a battle.

Xu Sheng also turned his head to look at her, his eyes fixed on her and on the present moment.

After the performance, everyone followed their dance partners and wandered around the campus, watching other people's performances.

While everyone else was moving between performance venues with their dance partners, Qi Xu and Hao Nan simply walked side by side on the snow, silent the whole way, without saying a word.

Tingyue didn't see Qi Xu and Hao Nan in front of her, and shouted to Jiang Hui behind her, "Hurry up! The desserts are almost gone!"

She accidentally bumped into Qi Xu and quickly apologized.

"Why are you running so fast?" Qi Xu asked, somewhat puzzled.

"Let's grab the dessert!" With that, Tingyue ran forward as fast as she could.

Jiang Hui followed behind her, greeted Qi Xu and Hao Nan, and then caught up with her.

"Shall we go take a look too?" Hao Nan suggested.

"I don't want to go," Qi Xu decisively refused.

Seeing her resolute attitude, Hao Nan didn't say anything more, but stayed by her side, walking slowly in the snowy night.

The surrounding merriment seemed to have nothing to do with them.

After walking for an unknown amount of time, the dance ended, and everyone bustled about, preparing to go home.

Throughout the journey, Qi Xu's expression was solemn, and she seemed preoccupied. She kept thinking about her character creation, the design of new characters, and even her computer operation skills, fearing that she would forget everything when she returned to the company, fall behind the company's pace, and be unable to create works that satisfied her.

Qi Xu kept pacing back and forth in the same spot.

Hao Nan looked around; almost all the classmates had left. "Let's go home."

"Okay." Qi Xu and Hao Nan walked home together.

Every time the two of them went home together, Hao Nan would always walk her to her doorstep first and make sure she got home safely before leaving.
