They kept getting close to the zombie, within about 3 meters.
The zombies, who were drinking rainwater, finally smelled Jiang Wu's scent and rushed towards him.
Its movements seem to have become more agile.

The evolved zombie felt nothing of the machete stuck in its neck and lunged at Jiang Wu.
Jiang Wu dodged the attack with a light step, then gripped the hilt of the knife with both hands and shook it up and down, finally managing to pull the knife out.
The zombie reached out with both hands to grab Jiang Wu, who ducked down and then rushed forward a few steps to get behind it.
Then he slashed it several times on the spine.
It turned around, and Jiang Wu continued to dart behind it.
After seven or eight slashes, I finally managed to cut its neck off.
Jiang Wu breathed a sigh of relief; evolved zombies were indeed much harder to kill.
In less than ten minutes, Jiang Wu was already standing at the back door of the grocery store.
The door was locked from the inside, the windows were closed, and the curtains were drawn from the inside.
Jiang Wu checked the other windows; they were all closed.
Moreover, all the windows are fitted with stainless steel security grilles.

The thought that they might treat Su Ziyu the same way if he weren't home one day made Jiang Wu's eyes redden.
The bound woman showed no reaction when she saw Jiang Wu, a stranger, suddenly walk out of the bathroom.
She merely glanced at Jiang Wu with her empty eyes.
But when she saw Jiang Wu's face clearly, a glimmer of hope appeared in her lifeless eyes, and she struggled to express something.
Jiang Wu quickly raised his right index and middle fingers to his lips, making a shushing gesture.
Then I went straight to the bedroom door and listened carefully to the sounds outside.

After all, there were three of them, and they were all ruthless. These vicious humans were much harder to deal with than zombies.
