“This is called spatial confinement, to prevent you from escaping. And to prevent others from breaking in…” Chu Wanwan said with a smile, her eyes sparkling with confidence, “Now, you can settle old scores with my mother in peace.”
Upon hearing this, Chu Chenxi felt a surge of despair. She knew that she was probably doomed today.
She slowly stood up, a resolute glint in her eyes. "Ha! Since there's no escape, then let's fight!" Chu Chenxi said, a long sword appearing in her hand. The sword shimmered with a faint spiritual light, clearly a remarkable immortal weapon.
She gripped the hilt of her sword tightly, the tip pointing at Chu Lan.
"Chu Lan, you only won against me last time by luck. This time, I will kill you no matter what! You and your mother are both despicable and deserve to die!" Chu Chenxi's words were filled with hatred and determination. Her eyes flashed with a crazy light, like a wild beast driven to the brink of despair, preparing to make a final struggle.
Upon hearing this, Chu Lan sneered, "Hmph! Chu Chenxi, you are truly pathetic and laughable. Even in this state, you still think of killing me? Do you even deserve it?"
As she spoke, Chu Lan swung her red whip again, transforming it into a streak of red lightning that shot straight at Chu Chenxi. Chu Chenxi was not to be outdone, and she swung her longsword to meet the attack.
Sword light and whip shadows intertwined, producing bursts of fierce collision sounds. Although Chu Chenxi's cultivation was not weak, she seemed somewhat powerless under Chu Lan's powerful attacks. Her swordsmanship was sharp, but she could not break through Chu Lan's defense.
As time went by, Chu Chenxi's strength gradually waned, and her attacks became increasingly weak. Chu Lan, on the other hand, fought with ever greater ferocity, her red whip tracing dazzling arcs in the air, each swing sending a shiver down Chu Chenxi's spine.
Finally, after a fierce exchange, Chu Chenxi's longsword was caught by Chu Lan's soft whip. With a sudden pull, the sword flew out of her hand and into the distance. Chu Chenxi, having lost her weapon, was immediately at a disadvantage.
Seeing this, Chu Lan curled up a cold smile: "Hmph! Now, what tricks do you have up your sleeve?"
Chu Chenxi's face was pale; she was truly in despair. She and Chu Lan were clearly at the same cultivation level, yet she had won so easily.
Is she really more talented than me? Is the title of "little genius" that I've had since childhood just a lie? Why are there so many despicable women who are better than her? Why do they stand in front of her, obscuring her innate brilliance?
She hated it so much!
"Hehehe... You think I can't beat you? No! I haven't lost yet!"
"I haven't lost yet! Hahaha..." Chu Chenxi went mad. She gathered all her spiritual power in her dantian. Her white clothes fluttered without wind, her black hair flew wildly in the air, and her eyes turned blood red, as if two flames were burning inside.
"Chu Lan, Chu Wanwan, I'll make you know that even if I, Chu Chenxi, die, I will make you pay the price!" she roared, her voice filled with despair and madness.
Seeing this, Chu Lan and Chu Wanwan knew that Chu Chenxi was going to fight desperately. Chu Wanwan's lips curled slightly, seemingly unconcerned.
Chu Lan was initially frightened, but seeing Chu Wanwan's reaction, she relaxed. She stopped attacking Chu Chenxi and instead hid in a corner of the space, watching Chu Chenxi's body swell and swell...
Chu Chenxi's body seemed to be filled with an invisible force, every inch of her skin taut, and a faint light began to emanate from her, a sign that her spiritual power had reached its peak. Her eyes were bloodshot, and a mad smile hung on her lips, making her look both tragically beautiful and terrifying.
"Chu Lan, Chu Wanwan, remember this! Even if I, Chu Chenxi, die, I will make you know that I am not so easily defeated!" she roared, her voice filled with a final madness.
Let's perish together!
"Bang!"
With Chu Chenxi's desperate cry of "Let's perish together!" her body seemed to ignite like a star, suddenly bursting forth with dazzling light. That light contained all her spiritual power and unwillingness, surging wildly in all directions like a flood bursting its banks.
The instant Chu Chenxi's body exploded, Chu Wanwan pulled Chu Lan out. Then she stood aside, leisurely watching as the dazzling light in that space faded, leaving a huge crater in the once smooth bluestone ground.
Around the pit, various human tissues and bits of flesh were scattered, and the air was filled with a strong smell of blood.
Outside that space, all was calm. The disciples of the Nine Heavens Immortal Sect stared in disbelief at the scene before them.
The self-destruction of a Void Realm expert! Enough to destroy a mountain; they were prepared for serious injury or death. Yet nothing happened. All around was quiet; they didn't even flinch.
That must be an incredibly powerful ability!
Only then can one casually create a space, a space powerful enough to withstand the energy wave of a Void Realm expert's self-destruction...
"Xi'er! Xi'er!" Suddenly an old voice rang out. Chu Wanwan looked over and saw an old man with white hair. His face was covered in tears, and he walked unsteadily toward the deep crater that had been blown out. He was leaning on a cane and calling out Chu Chenxi's name in a trembling voice.
When he saw the mangled flesh at the edge of the pit, he turned sharply to look at Chu Wanwan and Chu Lan: "It was you! You killed my Xi'er!" The old man's voice was filled with grief and anger, and his eyes shot out a venomous light, as if he wanted to devour the two people in front of him.
Chu Lan was startled by the old man's resentful gaze and unconsciously leaned closer to Chu Wanwan.
Chu Wanwan remained calm, simply looking at the old man indifferently.
"Mother? He is the sect leader of the Nine Heavens Immortal Sect?"
"Yes! Wanwan, he seems to be a Void Realm expert, can you defeat him?"
Chu Lan said with concern.
Chu Wanwan gave Chu Lan a reassuring look, then looked at Sect Leader Chu and said:
"Sect Master Chu, as you can see, Chu Chenxi died by self-destruction, and it has nothing to do with us."
