...
As dusk fell, Chu Wanwan and Si Mingye split into two teams. Chu Wanwan led over two thousand men from the 15th Regiment and one hundred pilots into the dense forest. Si Mingye, on the other hand, led one thousand combat personnel and quietly infiltrated Yongzhou City.
The soldiers no longer harbored any resentment towards the new regimental commander and deputy commander; instead, they were filled with respect and trust. They knew that these two young commanders not only possessed outstanding combat abilities but also extraordinary wisdom and uncanny, almost mystical, methods.
As night fell, Chu Wanwan led her people to the vicinity of the enemy's fighter jet base.
Because the place was extremely secluded, the enemy did not station many troops there, but in order to minimize casualties, Chu Wanwan still gave everyone an invisibility talisman.
When the hundred pilots saw that all three thousand people in front of them had disappeared, they stared in shock.
"It seems the rumors in the army are true. The commander of the 15th Regiment of the 131st Division is indeed a member of the Xuanmen sect, and a Xuanmen member with great abilities at that!"
"If more people from the esoteric sects were to descend into the mortal world to help us, wouldn't we be able to end this war more quickly and reduce the suffering of the people?"
"It should be possible, but apart from Commander Chu, I've really never seen anyone in the Xuanmen sect with such great abilities. I doubt even if they came down the mountain to help, it wouldn't be of much use!"
The pilots huddled together, whispering amongst themselves. Chu Wanwan overheard their conversation and seemed inspired. A slight smile played on her lips as she waved her hand, and the soldiers, adorned with invisibility talismans, charged towards the Japanese soldiers.
Chu Wanwan also put an invisibility talisman on herself, then grabbed a dagger and followed.
The night was as dark as ink, the moonlight thin, and suddenly, gleaming daggers appeared at the necks of the Japanese soldiers.
A Japanese soldier suddenly felt a chill on his neck. He instinctively reached out to touch it, only to find it damp. His eyes widened, and he tried to scream, but could only let out a weak groan as his life rapidly ebbed away.
Other Japanese soldiers suffered the same fate one after another; they were quickly and silently eliminated by the invisible soldiers before they could even react.
Chu Wanwan moved across the tarmac like a ghost, her movements swift and precise, each strike meaning the death of a Japanese soldier. Under their leadership, the soldiers were like executioners, ruthless and efficient.
Soon, all the Japanese soldiers on the tarmac were cleared out. The entire tarmac fell into a deathly silence, with only the slight sound of a breeze rustling through the aircraft.
"Come out! Head straight to the front lines! This time, we're going to wipe out every last Japanese soldier!"
As soon as Chu Wanwan finished speaking, one hundred pilots boarded their respective bombers, fighter jets, and helicopters. The pilots started their aircraft, and the roar echoed through the night sky.
Chu Wanwan led the Eighth Route Army soldiers to quickly evacuate the fighter jet base. Their mission was complete, and the next battle would be handed over to the pilots in the air and the soldiers fighting bravely on the front lines.
