Si Mingye glanced around and spoke calmly.
"I have proof, but I cannot give it to you. If you insist on intercepting me, don't blame me for being impolite."
"You audacious thieves! They clearly intend to get close to His Majesty; their intentions are malicious!" A skilled member of the Imperial Guard waved his hand, "Kill them!"
The expert drew his sword and charged forward, followed closely by a large number of imperial guards.
Si Mingye's eyes turned cold, and his aura suddenly emanated. He slightly raised his hand, and a powerful force forced the Imperial Guard expert at the forefront back several steps.
"Wanwan, go find the emperor of the Great Jin Kingdom, I'll hold them back."
"Okay!" Chu Wanwan replied, lightly touching the ground with her toes, and headed deeper into the palace.
"Oh no! Protect His Majesty!"
The commander of the Imperial Guards said he wanted to chase after Chu Wanwan, but Si Mingye stopped him.
“Your opponent is me!” Si Mingye said, raising the scabbard of his demonic sword. The Imperial Guard commander gritted his teeth, brandishing his sword and charging at Si Mingye again, “Today, even if it costs me my life, I will not let you traitors succeed.”
Si Mingye moved with ghostly speed, easily dodging the attacks of the Imperial Guard commander while occasionally counterattacking and repelling the surrounding guards. As he fought, he kept an eye on the direction Chu Wanwan had gone, silently praying that she would find the Emperor safely.
Chu Wanwan moved swiftly through the palace, using her keen senses and superb lightness skills to evade wave after wave of guards. Finally, she stopped in front of a magnificent palace.
Inside the palace, the emperor sat on his dragon throne, looking solemnly at the memorial in his hands.
Hearing footsteps, the emperor looked up and a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes when he saw Chu Wanwan.
"Who are you? How dare you trespass into the palace! Guards! Seize the assassin!" the head eunuch shouted in a shrill voice.
