Chapter 84 Young and in good physical condition

Ruan Jizhou drove his black Mercedes-Benz to a stop downstairs at Luo Wuyan's apartment building.

Lu Zhiwei changed into a long-sleeved shirt and trousers, wore a mask and a baseball cap, covering herself up completely, and opened the car door to sit in the back seat.

“I’m not really used to being a driver,” Ruan Jizhou said, turning to look at her.

Lu Zhiwei smiled as she got out of the back seat, sat in the passenger seat, and obediently fastened her seatbelt.

"Why are you more bundled up than me?" Ruan Jizhou steered the car out of the residential area with one hand.

Lu Zhiwei leaned back in her chair and said with a smile, "I'm afraid of being recognized by your fans and getting beaten up. I value my life."

Ruan Jizhou sighed, "I wish I weren't a celebrity. At least you wouldn't feel pressured coming out with me."

“That won’t do. You’re not a celebrity, so Lu’s Men’s Wear can’t find a better spokesperson than you. We’re too rushed today. I’ll find a way to deal with being recognized next time.” Lu Zhiwei kept everyone in suspense.

The two arrived at the supermarket wearing baseball caps and masks.

Although most of their faces were covered, the aura emanating from the two of them still made them stand out from ordinary people.

Pushing a shopping cart, I browsed the supermarket shelves.

Ruan Jizhou is very meticulous, considerate, and good at choosing things.

He knows everything about what's of good quality and comfortable to use.

Lu Zhiwei basically didn't need to worry about anything.

Ruan Jizhou put a pair of size 36 women's slippers into the shopping cart. He glanced at her feet and figured the size was correct.

Lu Zhiwei was amazed by his meticulous observation skills. Living with a man like that would indeed be very comfortable and relaxing.

The two continued walking forward, pushing the shopping cart.

"What are your plans regarding the tumor in your uterus? Are you just going to take medication?"

"Well, let's give her medication for now. If it doesn't improve, then we'll have surgery." What Lu Zhiwei said was true, but she didn't bring it up directly.

The tumor is like a child.

"Then take a good rest these few days and don't go to the company."

"Yes, I've asked the company for leave."

Ruan Jizhou suddenly stopped, his gaze fixed on the men's slippers on the shelf, staring intently for a long time without moving an inch.

"I... I'd like to request to buy a pair of men's slippers. Is that alright?" Ruan Jizhou asked.

“Okay, these are your special slippers next time you come to my house,” Lu Zhiwei readily agreed.

Ruan Jizhou took a pair of men's slippers that were the same style as hers and put them in her shopping cart.

One pair is blue, and the other is pink; they're for a couple.

Lu Zhiwei didn't say anything.

She had said she wanted to cultivate a good relationship with him.

This is just the first step.

When it was time to pay, Lu Zhiwei took out her phone to pay.

Ruan Jizhou rushed ahead of her and handed over the payment code: "There's no reason for you to pay with me here."

“But this is my own thing,” Lu Zhiwei emphasized.

She doesn't like owing favors to others.

"I bought a pair of slippers too, didn't I? The rest are just freebies, they're a gift for you." After paying, Ruan Jizhou carried the two large bags out.

Lu Zhiwei, who remained rooted to the spot, curved her lips into a smile.

These are way too many freebies.

Upon arriving at the parking lot, Ruan Jizhou opened the trunk and put his things inside.

Lu Zhiwei saw the trunk full of health supplements and asked, "What are these?"

"I bought all of these for you."

Lu Zhiwei was embarrassed: "Are you trying to kill me with this?"

If you consume so many supplements, you're likely to have a nosebleed maddening.

There were too many supplements, and they took up most of the trunk space. It took me a while to make room for a shopping bag.

He simply closed the trunk and put the other bag on the back seat.

"Eat slowly, it's not like you have to finish it all at once, you're too thin." Ruan Jizhou opened the car door and let her get in.

The two got along well and chatted all the way to the small Western-style house where the grandmother and mother used to live.

The small villa is located on Shengyang Road, with a row of huge sycamore trees in front of it. As spring draws to a close, the sycamore leaves are a vibrant green.

Use the key to open the somewhat rusty iron gate and enter the yard.

The security guards who had been stationed around the house suddenly withdrew, the yard was cleaned up, and a light was on in the bedroom on the west side of the first floor, bringing a touch of life to the mottled and old walls.

Luo Wuyan said that there are three tenants in this building, and the room with the light on on this floor should be one of them.

The common areas of the villa are shared, and the rent and utilities are shared.

Lu Zhiwei took out two pairs of slippers and placed them in the entryway: "Change your shoes first."

Looking at the narrow and somewhat rustic hall, Ruan Jizhou asked with some confusion, "Why did you suddenly move here from the Lu family home?"

“This is my mother’s house, but Zhao Xiuying sold it without my permission. I can’t buy it back now, so I can only rent it back temporarily,” Lu Zhiwei explained as she led him upstairs.

Ruan Jizhou helped her carry the two large bags up to the second floor.

Perhaps hearing voices from the bedroom, the door to the downstairs bedroom suddenly opened.

A tall, thin boy emerged from inside, scratched his messy hair, walked towards the kitchen, opened the refrigerator, and took out the fresh vegetables.

Lu Zhiwei and Ruan Jizhou came downstairs after they finished tidying up upstairs.

On the dining table in the living room on the first floor were three sets of bowls and chopsticks, and four dishes and a soup.

A boy wearing an apron came out of the kitchen. When Lu Zhiwei saw him, she couldn't hide her surprise: "Jiang Zhan, you live here too?"

"Yes, I moved in a couple of days ago. It's close to the school and also close to all the top design companies. I'm graduating soon, so I decided to move out of the school first. Sister, I know you're the new tenant. I just heard your voice."
