For Ye Boxuan's safety, he settled down in Liuyuan, and Ye Bosen also strengthened the security measures in Liuyuan to prevent any accidents.
In Lin Yichen's office, he was on the phone. The call was from Townsend, the butler from Country C.
"What? Madam is missing?" Lin Yichen stood up abruptly, nearly tipping the chair over with his force.
"Yes, sir. I thought Madam needed to rest, so I didn't wake her up this morning. But by noon, she still hadn't gotten up, so I went upstairs to wake her. I knocked on the door for a long time, but no one answered. When I opened the door with the spare key, I found that the room was empty."
"Have you gone to look for it?"
"We searched the entire manor several times, but we still couldn't find it."
Lin Yichen frowned, his eyes filled with anxiety and anger. "Check the surveillance footage and see what happened." Tang Sen quickly agreed.
Not long after, Townsend called back, his voice tinged with doubt, "Sir, the surveillance footage shows that Madam left the manor alone at three in the morning, and she seemed quite lucid, with no signs of being coerced."
Lin Yichen's doubts deepened. Why would she suddenly leave without saying goodbye? Was she disappointed in him because he hadn't found her a son?
He took out his phone and called Aunt Ye, but all he heard was a sweet, mechanical voice; the call couldn't be connected.
He tried calling it more than ten times, but the result was the same each time.
Frustrated, he threw his phone on the table, his hands trembling as he took out a cigarette and lit it. Amidst the swirling smoke, he calmed down considerably and fell into deep thought.
This is not Xiaoya's style. If she wanted to leave, she should have told me beforehand. She wouldn't just leave without saying goodbye.
Besides, there was still no news of her son. Where could she have gone by herself? The more he thought about it, the more something seemed off.
Lin Yichen suddenly stood up, a bad premonition rising in his heart.
He picked up the phone that had been tossed on the table and made a call.
"I asked you to monitor my wife. Has she made any moves lately?"
"Sir, Madam has not left the house during this period of time and has been staying at home."
"So what does she do at home?"
"Sir, we see Madam sitting in the garden every day, occasionally making a phone call."
Did you hear what they were saying?
"I don't know, sir. After all, it's your home, so we don't dare to get too close."
"Okay, keep monitoring, and let me know immediately if there's any movement."
"Yes, sir."
After hanging up the phone, he took another drag of his cigarette. Had he been wrong?
At Lin Yichen's home, Mrs. Lin was also on the phone.
"Madam, we have succeeded."
"Okay, has anyone noticed?"
"Don't worry, Madam. Even if she is discovered, no one will suspect that she was kidnapped. She left home on her own."
"Okay, well done. Lock him in the basement. I'll come back tomorrow."
"good."
The old man has been caught; only the little rascal who escaped is left. Mrs. Lin made another phone call.
Is there any news about him?
"Madam, not yet."
"What are you all doing? You can't even find one person. Send out more people to search."
"Yes, madam."
Willow Garden, Ye Bosen's study, Ye Boxuan is also sitting here.
"Brother, what do you want?"
"Your mother was kidnapped; it must have been Mrs. Lin who did it."
"What?" Ye Boxuan stood up in shock, his hands clenched into fists, veins bulging, his face grim.
"Don't worry, my men are with them. The reason I didn't have them stop them is because I'm waiting to wipe them all out."
Hearing him say that, Ye Boxuan felt a little relieved.
"So, brother, what are your plans?"
I've had my men keep a close watch on their location. As soon as Madam Lin shows her face, Ayan and his men will act and capture them all at once.
"What about my mother's safety?"
"Don't worry, they will protect her."
Ye Boxuan clenched his fists, his eyes filled with anger and worry. "Brother, you must make sure my mother is unharmed."
Ye Bosen patted him on the shoulder, "Don't worry, Ayan is always reliable."
At this moment, in the basement where Aunt Ye was being held, Aunt Ye slowly woke up. She looked around and saw that it was a dark basement.
Last night, she received a text message telling her to prepare the ransom, to be handed over to her son, but she had to go alone.
She brought all her savings with her; she was willing to give up this money for her son, as long as he was safe and sound.
She took the money and quietly left the manor without alerting anyone, but she was knocked unconscious not far from the manor.
She woke up to find herself in this awful place. She tried to move her hands and feet, only to discover that they were all bound and she couldn't move at all.
She glanced around and saw several guards playing cards in the distance, surrounded by smoke. She coughed a few times, choking on the smoke.
"Who are you people? Why did you kidnap me?" Aunt Ye's hands and feet were tied, and she was thrown onto the cold ground.
“You said that if I pay the ransom, I can see my son. I’ll give you the ransom now. Where is my son?”
Hearing the commotion, the guards turned to look at her, and one of them laughed and said, "Old woman, you actually believe us?"
Aunt Ye's eyes widened. "You're lying to me?"
The guard spat. "Your son is in our hands, but whether you'll see him alive is another matter."
Aunt Ye was trembling with anger, "You bunch of scoundrels!"
"Old woman, save your energy. Our eldest brother said this place will be your final resting place."
