One month later.
Liuli's life returned to its usual listless routine. She couldn't even muster the interest to go into the forest to find a wild beast to tease. Every day, she would just sit on a high tree trunk, gazing at the sky with longing in her eyes. After encountering Li Molin and the other demons, as well as the young monk Shi Chan, in the forest, Liuli's longing for the outside world only grew stronger.
In her mind, there was a vague image of the outside world, an image she had sketched out by eavesdropping on the hunter's conversation and the stories her grandmother told. But what the hunter said was just a few words, and the stories her grandmother told were from a long time ago. She was really curious about what the outside world was like.
Today is a day of continuous drizzle. Fine raindrops fall on the branches and leaves, gathering into large drops that fall onto the fallen leaves on the ground with a "drip-drip" sound.
Liuli was enveloped in a layer of white light, which blocked the rain and water droplets from falling on her. She was idly stretching her hand out of the white light, watching the water droplets fall onto her hand one by one.
At that moment, a black light flashed by, as if it wanted to fly straight forward, but in the blink of an eye, it saw the glass on the tree trunk. The black light flickered a few times and stopped, revealing the imposing figure of a man.
He looked up at Liuli in the tree, a faint smile appearing on his face, and called out, "Hey! Liuli!"
Liuli withdrew her hand and looked down, then paused in surprise, asking in confusion, "Li Molin?"
Li Molin's black clothes were somewhat wet, and his hair was also damp, but he made no attempt to use magic to cover himself from the rain. He nodded and said, "I've been looking for you in the woods for quite a while, and I've finally found you!"
"What do you want from me?" Liuli asked curiously.
Li Molin put his hands behind his back and asked calmly, "Do you want to go out, to the Central Plains?"
Liuli was stunned, and hesitated before asking, "What do you mean?"
Li Molin smiled slightly and repeated, "I said, do you want to go to the Central Plains?"
Liuli wasn't sure what he meant, so after thinking for a long time, she nodded and said, "I want to!"
“I have a way to get you out of here,” Li Molin said loudly, “but you have to do me a favor.”
Liuli pouted, thinking to herself that she knew he wasn't that kind. She said, "Tell me, what do you need my help with?"
"Get down and come with me!" Li Molin said without giving a chance to explain.
"No!" Liuli tilted her head and said, "I won't go with you unless you explain it to me clearly!"
Li Molin was somewhat helpless, so he patiently said, "I brought the leader of the Flood Dragon Clan with me this time. He came to persuade your grandmother to form an alliance with my Demon Clan. You just need to say a few words on her behalf. If it succeeds, I will find a way to get you out of here."
"Is it really that simple?" Liuli was somewhat skeptical.
Li Molin nodded and smiled, "It's that simple."
Liuli lowered her head and pondered for a long time, her mind in turmoil. Finally, she couldn't resist the temptation to go out and nodded, "Okay, I promise you."
"Then let's go." Li Molin nodded in satisfaction, turned around and left first.
Liuli floated down and followed behind him.
When Liuli and Li Molin arrived at the edge of Fox Plain, they saw more than a dozen men in black and a man from the Jiaolong clan waiting there. The man was of medium height, handsome, with fine lines at the corners of his eyes, and looked to be middle-aged.
"Grandpa Shengyang," Liuli greeted the man obediently.
Sheng Yang said with a smile, "Long time no see, Liuli girl. Where is your grandmother?"
Liuli smiled and replied, "Grandmother should be in the cave. I'll take you there."
“Okay.” Sheng Yang nodded and followed Liu Li as they flew forward.
Li Molin and others followed closely behind.
