Chapter 244 Leisurely Pursuits

"Stop it, all of you!"

Suddenly, a male voice rang out from outside the crowd. Although the voice was very loud, it sounded somewhat weak.

Ji Jue and Yu Ke walked ahead, pushing the crowd of onlookers aside to clear a path. Li Molin, dressed in black with a cold expression, walked slowly through the path cleared by the two into the encirclement. Lang Yuan followed half a step behind him, with Lingxi perched on Lang Yuan's shoulder.

Upon seeing Li Molin's arrival, few people around him spoke up to greet him. Most of the young demons watched him walk by in silence, their eyes subtly filled with resentment and disdain.

The Demon Realm is a place where the strong are respected, and Li Molin was exceptionally intelligent and talented from a young age. He was also willing to work hard to cultivate, so his cultivation progressed extremely quickly. At a young age, he had already reached the Demon Heart Realm, and the Demons naturally respected him greatly.

However, he lost half of his cultivation and essence in order to save Liuli. His cultivation was still okay; as long as his realm was there, he could simply replenish it by consuming more precious spiritual medicines. But his essence was not so easily replenished.

Over the past twenty years, Li Molin has consumed four counterfeit elixirs of immortality. Each elixir took five years to digest and absorb, allowing his cultivation to advance further, reaching the late stage of the Demon Heart realm. However, the loss of vital energy has had a profound impact on him. His face is often pale, and although he retains his former imposing stature, his steps are unsteady, and he appears quite weak. Due to the excessive loss of vital energy, his internal organs are damaged, and his body is far weaker than before. He, who had never been sick before, now suffers from numerous minor and major ailments, constantly needing medicine.

The entire Demon Realm now knows about Li Molin's situation. The demons have been divided into three groups: a small group still supports him, a small group remains neutral, and the majority oppose him continuing to rule the demon race as the young master.

Even though 80% of the demons were already dissatisfied with Li Molin becoming the young master again, Li Gan just inexplicably protected Li Molin and suppressed all dissent. Even the elders and protectors who went to advise him every few days were to no avail.

More importantly, although Demon Lord Li Gan had many concubines, he had no other children besides Li Molin.

Li Molin walked to the innermost part of the encirclement. He searched the battlefield for a while with great effort and finally found Liuli's figure.

After Li Molin regained his footing, he felt a tightness in his chest. He coughed twice and shook his head helplessly as he watched Liu Li's agile figure.

Yu Ke's face was cold and stern as he shouted, "Are you all deaf? Didn't you hear what the young master said?! Stop!"

Neither side reacted at all during the fight, and neither of them stopped. Liuli was particularly engrossed in the fight and showed no intention of stopping.

Li Molin sighed helplessly, "Yu Ke, Ji Jue, you two go and stop Liu Li. She's not afraid of hurting herself fighting with so many people."

"Yes." Yu Ke and Ji Jue nodded in response. They looked at each other, nodded, took out their weapons, and rushed into the battle.

The demons besieging Liuli were all of extremely low cultivation level, and were no match for Yu Ke and Ji Jue. The two walked towards the center of the battle, severely injuring demons until they were too weak to fight back, and then tossed them aside, slowly approaching Liuli in the very center.

Finally, Yu Ke and Ji Jue had left half of the demons behind, and the two were now very close to Liu Li.

With a "whoosh," a silver whip carrying a massive amount of demonic energy lashed out at Yu Ke and Ji Jue, who quickly retreated two steps to dodge it.

"Oh, it's Yu Ke and Ji Jue?" Liu Li acted as if she had just seen the two of them, even though the whip she had just swung was clearly intentional. She retracted the whip with a wicked smile, her face smiling but her eyes extremely cold, and said indifferently, "Are you two very free, having so much leisure to spoil my fun?"

Yu Ke said helplessly, "Please forgive me, young lady. It was only because the young master was worried that you would get hurt that he sent the two of us to stop you. Please stop."

Liuli coldly surveyed the demons who had temporarily stopped attacking her and sneered, "This rabble can't possibly hurt me? Yu Ke, you're joking."

The demons were enraged and raised their weapons to attack again.

"Stop right there!" Yu Ke's sharp eyes turned to the remaining thirty-odd demons, whose faces were contorted with rage, and he shouted in a cold voice, "Don't you think you've killed enough people? Don't you think you've lived long enough?!"

The thirty-odd young men and women were startled by Yu Ke's shout. They exchanged glances and stopped one after another. They had only acted on impulse at first. In fact, they knew very well that even if there were only thirty-odd of them left, or even if there were a hundred of them at the beginning, they could not have hurt Liu Li in the slightest. After all, the difference in their cultivation levels was too great.

Yu Ke took a deep breath to suppress his anger. He turned to look at Liu Li, softened his voice, and said, "There's no point in fighting with such a bunch of trash. It would only dirty your hands, Miss. You should stop fighting."

Upon hearing Yu Ke's words, the thirty-odd men were immediately enraged. They stepped forward and were about to speak in a chaotic manner.

"Hmm?" Ji Jue turned to look at those people. He swung his giant axe and smashed it into the ground, creating a long crack in the hard gravel and raising a cloud of dust.

With just this one strike, the thirty-odd people immediately fell silent and stood aside, no longer daring to make a move.

Liu Li smiled and looked at the group of thirty-odd people, saying calmly, "Yu Ke, what you said makes some sense. Forget it, let's stop fighting, it's pointless."

After saying that, she turned and walked forward. After taking a few steps, she turned back to look at the thirty-odd young people with indignant expressions and said with a wicked smile, "Remember this, all of you. If anyone dares to speak ill of the young master again, look at those dead people on the ground. That will be your fate!"

Li Molin paused for a moment, then a happy smile appeared on his lips.

Li Molin watched Liuli walk slowly towards him. When Liuli reached his side, he turned and followed her out of the encirclement. Yu Ke and Ji Jue followed closely behind.

As he walked forward, Li Molin said softly with a smile, "Liuli, thank you for protecting me."

Liuli smiled coldly and said indifferently, "After all, you ended up in this situation to save me. I don't want to owe you too much. Besides, I'm too bored."

Upon hearing this, Li Molin's joy vanished almost entirely. He lowered his head, his eyes darkening.
