Chapter 293 Seclusion

Soon, Liang Yihan carried Lingxi to the front of the mountain-protecting sword formation. He first took out a fragrant pill from his storage ring and handed it to Lingxi's lips, saying gently, "Ahua, this pill can cure the poison of the black sesame grass. You should eat it quickly."

Lingxi looked up at him, then silently opened her mouth and swallowed the pill.

Liang Yihan held Lingxi in his arms and pulled her close. He looked directly into her face and whispered, "Ahua, after I open the mountain-protecting sword formation, you will escape. From then on, the world will be vast, but I will no longer be able to protect you. You... find a place to live in seclusion and don't let anyone find you."

Lingxi just stared at him blankly, remaining silent.

Liang Yihan waited for a while, then shook his head and sighed, "Goodbye, Ahua."

Having said that, he freed one hand to form a hand seal, chanted an incantation, and opened a gap in the protective sword formation.

Liang Yihan lifted Lingxi up, about to throw her into the gap in the sky.

“Liang Yihan,” Lingxi suddenly said.

Liang Yihan paused, then asked gently, "What's wrong?"

Lingxi's voice was low and hoarse as she said, "You... come with me. From now on, we'll be free from the troubles of the world. We'll find a place where no one knows us and live in seclusion, just the two of us."

Liang Yihan remained silent for a while before saying softly, "I'm sorry, Ahua."

With that, he exerted force and steadily tossed Lingxi into the air.

Lingxi looked disappointed. A flash of white light appeared on her body, and she lightly leaped upwards, flying out through the gap in the sword formation.

After Lingxi flew away, the gap in the sword formation quickly melted away, and the light of the sword formation disappeared. So when Liang Yihan looked up, he saw a night sky full of stars.

He stared blankly in the direction the rhinoceros had flown away, his gaze lingering on the horizon.

Suddenly, a mocking male voice came from the side, saying, "What, Junior Brother Han, you can't bear to part with him?"

Liang Yihan's expression changed. He turned his head in horror and saw two figures slowly emerging from the shadows beside him.

Liang Yihan was standing at the end of the path. There were no more wooden houses on either side, only clusters of flowers blooming. Many of the flowers were half a person tall. Because the Yuandao Sect was protected by a sword formation, it was like spring all year round. At this moment, the flowers in the clusters were growing well, and the delicate petals shimmered with a faint light under the moonlight.

At that moment, two people emerged from behind a cluster of flowers in the distance, one in front of the other. The one in front was Yu Xing, and the young man behind him was carrying a lantern, seemingly a patrolling disciple.

Liang Yihan's face gradually darkened. He looked coldly at Yu Xing and remained silent.

Yu Xing stopped not far from Liang Yihan. He turned his head slightly and said to the young man behind him, "Junior Brother Qi, what did you see just now?"

Junior Brother Qi looked at Liang Yihan with a cold smile and said, "I saw Senior Brother Han activate the mountain-protecting sword formation and let the spirit cat escape."

"Are you sure you saw it clearly?" Yu Xing chuckled. "Is it really a spirit cat?"

Junior Brother Qi nodded and said with certainty, "I can see it clearly, it is indeed a spirit cat!"

Yu Xing feigned a look of panic and said, "Then why don't you go and tell my master?"

Junior Brother Qi stared at Liang Yihan and said with a sinister smile, "Yes, indeed we should report such a big matter to our Sect Leader as soon as possible!"

Liang Yihan watched the two of them singing in unison with a cold expression, his face ashen.

"Let's go." Yu Xing looked at Liang Yihan's face and felt a sense of satisfaction. He turned around and said, "It's best to tell Master about such a big matter as soon as possible."

"Yes, Senior Brother Yu." Junior Brother Qi responded, gave Liang Yihan a cold smile, and then turned to follow Yu Xing.

Liang Yihan turned to look at their backs and said in a cold voice, "It's late now. Do you really want to disturb Master's peaceful sleep?"

Yu Xing stopped and turned to look at him, a wicked smile on his face. "Junior Brother Han, you have moments of fear too?"

Having said that, he threw his head back and laughed loudly, a wild and unrestrained laugh. After the laugh, he didn't linger any longer and quickly walked away with his junior brother Qi.

Liang Yihan watched the two figures disappear into the distance with a gloomy gaze. His hands clenched tightly and trembled slightly as he racked his brains for a solution.

--

It was late at night, and in addition to the light on the walls and the demon-trapping array, more than a dozen red candles were lit in the prison. The candlelight was dim and yellow, intertwined with the blue light, illuminating the entire prison.

In the outermost cell, Lang Yuan's expression was gloomy, his brows furrowed, seemingly worried about Lingxi's safety. Ge Yiyuan and Ji Jue were asleep, Ji Jue snoring softly. Yu Xin leaned against Liu Li, both of them staring at Liu Lingying in front of them.

Liu Lingying sat cross-legged in front of Liuli, resting her elbows on her lap and supporting her chin with one hand. She looked carefully at Liuli's small face, and after a long while, she said sincerely, "You are really beautiful. No wonder Lin'er likes you."

Liu Li's face was cold and stern as she looked at Liu Lingying warily, without saying a word.

Liu Lingying paused for a moment and said, "That spirit cat just told me that you were saved by Lin'er with half her life, so I'm going to save you, but on the condition that you give me the divine stone."

Liuli gave a cold laugh and said in a chilling voice, "Impossible!"

Liu Lingying said calmly, "I've heard a lot about your deeds from the disciples who often come down the mountain these days. You haven't avenged your entire clan yet, have you? Is it really worth risking your and your friend's lives for a divine stone?"

Liuli paused for a moment, then lowered her eyes and fell into deep thought.

Looking at her face, Liu Lingying continued, "You don't need to be afraid that I'm lying to you. As long as you give me the divine stone, I will have an explanation to Han'er. For Lin'er's sake, I will definitely protect your lives."
