Although Liuli was still furious, she couldn't help but let out a soft sigh of relief.
She turned and walked out of the alley, casually inquiring about Li Molin's whereabouts from the demons as she went, and also saving a few innocent civilians along the way. Finally, she found Li Molin in the very center of Bear City.
At that time, the main road in the city where Li Molin was located was filled with demons wantonly chasing and killing the people of the city. Li Molin and Yu Ke stood with their hands behind their backs in front of the city garrison, discussing something in hushed tones.
Liuli watched from afar as Li Molin and Yu Ke remained calm and composed, their figures standing out starkly against the backdrop of blood and corpses strewn across the street. Her small face was icy cold as she flew straight to Li Molin's side and landed, calling out, "Li Molin."
Li Molin turned to look at her and said gently, "You've come, Liuli. I'm discussing with Yu Ke the possibility of rebuilding this place into a palace complex. What do you think?"
Liuli didn't answer his question, but said calmly, "Didn't you say before that you were going to drive all the Central Plains people out of the city? Why do I see that all four gates are closed and they're fighting so fiercely?"
Li Molin paused for a moment, then said nonchalantly, "Who knows about them? But it doesn't matter. Let them kill as they please, as long as they clear out the city for me in the end."
Liuli paused for a moment, then said, "Killing an entire city's worth of ordinary people would probably invite divine punishment."
Li Molin pondered for a moment, then nodded and said, "That's right. Yu Ke, go ahead and tell your people not to kill any more. Just drive all the remaining people out of the city."
"Yes," Yu Ke replied with a cupped hand, then turned and left.
“Liuli.” Li Molin turned to look at the plaque of the city garrison in front of him, but his eyes were unfocused. He said softly, “In the Bodhi Forest, I saw you in the illusion.”
Li Molin still doesn't know that he fell into a maze of memories in the Bodhi Forest, but thinks it was just an illusion.
Liuli paused for a moment, then replied calmly, "Is that so?"
"And you?" Li Molin asked softly, "What did you see in there?"
Liuli was silent for a while before saying, "I've forgotten most of the messy things now."
Li Molin knew she didn't want to say more, so he lowered his eyes and smiled sadly, saying, "Forget it then."
Liuli paused for a moment, then said calmly, "I will go find the divine beasts and tell them to stop too. If the heavenly punishment does not descend, that will be fine, but once it does, it will be something they cannot withstand."
After saying that, she turned around and was about to leave.
"Liuli".
When Li Molin spoke, Liuli had only taken one step. Hearing his voice, she stopped, turned to look at him, and asked in confusion, "What is it?"
Li Molin was still looking at the plaque of the city garrison, his voice sounding very soft and somewhat ethereal, making it impossible to discern his emotions. He murmured, "I miss the old Liuli so much, the Liuli I brought out from Fox Plains."
Liuli didn't know how to respond to those words and remained silent for a long time. After hesitating for a while, she left after saying, "I'm leaving."
As Liuli's footsteps faded into the distance, Li Molin lowered his head and looked down at the ground, murmuring, "Liuli, as long as you can return to your former self, if you want to be naughty, I will indulge you in everything. If you want to play, I will take you to travel across mountains and rivers. If you still like him... I will let you go to him and be with him. As long as... as long as you can come back."
The voice was so sorrowful, so low, it was heartbreaking to hear.
