Chapter 477 Sprouting

Liuli rested her elbows on the chair next to her, looked up at the chair, and burst into tears.

She sobbed, her words muffled, "Shi Chan, you're still gone... No matter how much I begged you, you still left!"

"You abandoned me for them, you abandoned me for those righteous people who have nothing to do with you!"

Amidst immense grief and endless worry for Shichan, a trace of resentment quietly crept into Liuli's heart—the work of the Soul-Summoning Spell.

Originally, after Liuli returned from Bodhi Forest a hundred years ago, the power of summoning souls and attracting demons in her heart was suppressed. Since she came to Magpie Bridge Town, that trace of demonic power has been suppressed to the point of almost disappearing.

However, for Liuli, the magic of the summoning spell was like a chronic illness that required a long period of treatment with the best medicine. Now that the best medicine, Shichan, had left, the magic immediately returned, quietly changing Liuli's heart, suppressing all the beautiful emotions she disliked, and instead releasing all the bad emotions.

Liuli resented Shichan for abandoning her for others, leaving her here to suffer unbearable pain. Gradually, she began to resent the righteous path and all living beings outside, the war between good and evil, and all beings that had taken away her beautiful life.

Her breathing quickened, her body began to tremble, her face contorted with anger, and her eyes turned bloodshot.

At that moment, immense resentment drove her to the point of wanting to destroy the world!

Just as the tears in her eyes slowly subsided, Liuli stared ahead with resentment, her voice filled with hatred as she gritted her teeth and said, "Shichan, you abandoned me! No matter how much I begged you, you still abandoned me! You... don't regret it!!"

When she said those last four words, her voice was shrill, almost a scream.

After saying that, she stood up, and her coarse cloth clothes instantly tore apart. In a flash of black light, she was transformed into a black dress.

She flicked her sleeves, walked around the round table, and strode forward.

As she stepped out of her room, the mayor's wife happened to be walking towards her room to wake her up.

Upon seeing the black figure emerge from the room, the mayor's wife paused, staring blankly at Liuli, at a loss for what to do.

Liuli glanced at her with a cold, sharp gaze before quickly withdrawing it. Then, she lightly touched the ground with her toes and flew away in the blink of an eye.

The mayor's wife was greatly shocked. She turned to look in the direction Liuli had left, and unconsciously muttered to herself, "This...is that Liuli...?"

After a long period of stunned silence, the mayor's wife hurriedly went to Liuli's room, only to find that Liuli was nowhere to be seen.

She rushed out of the room in shock, only to see the mayor emerging from the right-hand wing, calling out, "Old woman, where is Bailing? Do you know where he went?"

The mayor's wife shook her head, still reeling from the shock of what she had just witnessed. After a moment of stunned silence, she replied, "Liuli is gone too..."

Suddenly, a series of hurried footsteps approached clearly. The two turned to look at the source of the sound and saw a young man running towards them with a joyful expression. After spotting the mayor and his wife, he called out breathlessly, "Mayor, mayor! I went to clean the Holy Monk Temple this morning and found that the Bodhi tree has sprouted! You should quickly call Sister Liuli to take a look; she'll be so happy!"

Upon hearing this, the mayor and his wife exchanged a glance and looked at each other in bewilderment.
