Chapter 53 The Giant Stone Maze shuhaige.net

Li Molin swung his skull staff, and demonic energy transformed into a crescent-shaped weapon over ten feet long, slicing through the countless vines. Then, he moved swiftly, flying to Liuli's side and cutting off all the vines binding her, before pulling her up and flying forward.

Liuli, now free, let out a long sigh of relief and hurriedly followed Li Molin forward. However, the numerous vines behind them were relentlessly pursuing them, always only a few feet away. It seemed that if they relaxed even slightly, the vines would catch up with them.

Li Molin waved his skull staff, releasing more than a dozen ghost faces to temporarily block the vines behind him. He then accelerated suddenly with Liuli, dashing the vines far behind him and finally dodging their attack.

As the man and the fox landed, Li Molin turned to look at the dozen or so ghost faces that were entangled by vines, which were instantly torn to shreds by the vines. His eyes narrowed.

Liuli gasped for breath, kicking the yellow sand beneath her feet, and clicked her tongue, saying, "As expected of a death formation, it's really dangerous! I was just coming in and seeing what this place looked like when those vines entangled me. I almost strangled myself!"

At this moment, the many vines in the distance, unable to sense the presence of living people, gradually retreated into the yellow sand and soon disappeared without a trace.

Li Molin turned to look at Liuli, his expression unfriendly, and said in a deep voice, "That's why I didn't let you in. And you? Hmph! You're just an idiot!"

Liuli's face fell, but having spent many days with Li Molin, she knew he was a person with a sharp tongue but a kind heart. Although his words were harsh, they were out of concern for her. So she swallowed her anger and changed the subject, saying, "Hey, I feel like those vines that were wrapped around me just now not only made it hard for me to breathe, but they also seemed to be draining my spiritual energy!"

"Hmm." Li Molin turned his head and began to carefully examine the scene around him, casually replying, "Death formations are mainly trapping formations, and trapping formations are mainly some entangled restrictions, which not only trap people, but also consume people's spiritual energy and life force."

Liuli nodded, looked up at the blazing sun in the sky, wiped the sweat trickling down her forehead, and said with a pained expression, "It's so hot here, I'm almost dying of heat..."

Li Molin took Liuli's hand and transferred his magic power from his hand to her body. The cool magic power gently flowed into her body, and Liuli felt refreshed. She smiled and said, "Thank you, you jerk!"

Li Molin glared at her and said unhappily, "Can't you speak properly, girl?"

Liuli made a face and chuckled.

Li Molin stopped looking at her, but a gentle smile unconsciously appeared on his lips.

He cautiously took a step forward, and only after sensing no danger did he lead Liuli forward. And so, Li Molin scouted ahead, while Liuli followed timidly behind him. The two, man and fox, walked slowly forward on the yellow sand for half an hour, covering only about three miles.

Unbeknownst to them, they had entered a large area scattered with dozens of giant rocks. This area, spanning over ten miles, contained forty-nine giant rocks, the largest as tall as a person and the smallest half a person, all as thick as a water bucket. Looking down from the sky, the distribution of these forty-nine giant rocks seemed both random and mysterious, truly enigmatic.

Neither Li Molin nor Liu Li noticed the boulders and unknowingly walked into the area where the forty-nine boulders were scattered. Just as they were gradually entering this area, a faint mist suddenly spread out and quickly covered the entire area shrouded by the boulders.

Li Molin's expression changed, and he stopped and stared intently. In that instant, the mist grew thicker and thicker, and when he inhaled it, it seemed to weaken both Li Molin's magic and Liuli's spiritual power.

After pondering for a long time, Li Molin exclaimed in surprise, "Oh no, it's a giant rock maze!"

Although her spiritual energy was dissipating slowly, Liuli could still feel it. She was a little uneasy and asked, "What kind of giant rock maze? Li Molin, why do I feel my spiritual energy dissipating?"

Li Molin reached out and covered Liuli's mouth and nose, hurriedly saying, "Just don't inhale this mist."

Liuli nodded hastily and covered her mouth with her hand, while Li Molin withdrew his hand and covered his own mouth and nose. Even so, a little mist would still be inhaled, and their magic and spiritual power would still slowly dissipate.

Li Molin immediately sensed something was wrong. He grabbed Liuli and rushed forward, urgently saying, "We need to get out of here quickly, we can't stay here any longer!"

Liuli nodded obediently and ran forward following Li Molin's footsteps, but they soon discovered to their despair that they were lost in the vast fog.
