Chapter 58 Robbery

One by one, the Buddhist, Taoist, and demonic figures were defeated by Qingling and Qingyun. Time passed slowly, and the atmosphere on the cloud platform became increasingly tense.

After asking Yu Ke, Liu Li learned that she and Li Molin had only been in the cave for about half an hour, but she felt as if she had been there for a long time. She couldn't help but marvel at how mysterious the Taoist formation was.

About fifteen minutes later, seven or eight more teenagers were defeated by Qingling and Qingyun. At this moment, a sound came from the entrance of the cave. Liuli, who had been paying attention to the place, immediately looked over alertly and saw a tall and thin figure slowly walking out.

Liuli stared intently at the figure. Finally, he emerged from the shadows, his gray monk's robe stained with dust and blood, but his aura remained calm and serene.

He clasped his hands together, a smile playing on his lips, and slowly walked out of the cave. Just as he was about to head towards the place where the Buddhist disciples were gathered, his vision suddenly blurred. A white shadow flashed by, and a white fox, more than a foot long, had stopped on the ground a few feet in front of him.

Shi Chan's eyes warmed for a moment. He smiled and performed a Buddhist salute, calling out, "Miss Liuli."

Liuli looked up at Shichan intently and quickly noticed the scars of varying depths on his face and hands. His monk's robe was torn in many places, as if it had been cut by a sharp blade, and bloodstains were faintly visible at the tears.

Liuli frowned and said in an unfriendly tone, "Little monk, are you stupid? It's so dangerous in there, why did you go in... Are you badly injured?"

Shi Chan didn't know what had been going on between him and Liu Li these past few days. Liu Li hadn't come to him, and whenever he caught a glimpse of her in a crowd, he couldn't resist the urge to talk to her. Each time he managed to suppress this urge, he felt a pang of loss. Now, she was right in front of him, her gaze full of concern, and his heart melted like a gentle spring breeze. Boundless joy filled his heart, making Shi Chan's smile grow wider, and his clear eyes curved into crescent moons.

"My injuries are nothing serious," Shi Chan said with a smile. "But young lady, you also entered the cave just now. Were you injured?"

"I'm fine." Seeing that he seemed to be alright, Liuli was relieved and then asked, "Did you see any treasure in the cave?"

“No.” Shi Chan shook his head and said, “This humble monk only passed through the illusion array. He lingered in the killing array for a long time without finding a way out. In the end, he barely managed to break through the array and did not go any further.”

Liuli nodded. The mention of the illusion array immediately reminded her of the last illusion of Shichan she saw within it, so she casually asked, "Little monk, what did you see in the illusion array?"

“This humble monk…” Shi Chan was taken aback, and stammered, not saying anything more.

Liuli frowned and pressed, "What exactly did you see?"

Shi Chan stammered and couldn't speak. Just then, several monks dressed in gray robes came over when they saw that Shi Chan had been standing in front of the cave for a long time. The first monk asked, "Brother Shi Chan, are you injured?"

The monks approached, glanced at Liuli, and then all looked away indifferently.

Shi Chan looked at the monks, gave a Buddhist salute, and said with a smile, "Thank you for your concern, fellow monks. I am fine."

"Did you see any treasure?" asked another monk who looked younger.

Shi Chan shook his head and said, "Shi Chan's cultivation is too weak to pass through the three formations, which has disappointed my fellow disciples."

The monk in the lead put his palms together and smiled, saying, "It's all fate, junior brother, there's no need to blame yourself. Let's go back quickly."

"Yes." Shi Chan nodded in agreement and said with a smile, "Please go first, fellow disciples."

After the monks left, Shi Chan bowed to Liuli, his gaze towards her exceptionally warm, yet containing a hint of inexplicable complexity. He paused for a moment, then said softly, "Please forgive me, young lady, what I saw in the illusion is truly inconvenient to disclose... but this humble monk would like to say thank you, thank you so much, young lady."

"Huh?" Liuli was stunned for a moment, and Shichan had already left in a hurry. She was very puzzled, turned her head to look at his back, and pondered for a long time, not knowing what he meant by that nonsensical sentence.

After a long while, she shook her head, turned around, and nimbly ran back to the place where the demons gathered. At that time, Li Molin was leaning against the jade railing with his eyes closed, resting, his face still very pale.

She lightly leaped onto Li Molin's lap, curled up into a ball, and closed her eyes.

Li Molin sensed the movement, slightly opened his eyes and glanced at her, a faint smile quietly appearing on his lips.

Another half hour later, a loud noise suddenly came from the cave. Everyone on the cloud platform looked intently and saw a bright blue light emanating from the cave entrance, which illuminated the entire cloud platform in a blue light.

Li Molin opened his eyes and looked into the cave, and Liuli jumped up instantly.

At this moment, as the azure light was emitted, Qingling, who was fighting, instantly stopped and stepped back, standing on either side of the door with Qingyun. They said in unison, "The treasure has a spirit and has chosen its master. You may all return now!"

Just then, a sound came from the sky. Everyone looked up and saw that the clouds that had enveloped the entire cloud platform were slowly dissipating, and the cool moonlight slanted down without any obstruction, illuminating the cloud platform down to its fullest extent. As the clouds disappeared, the many people from the three factions who had been lingering outside the cloud platform quickly flew back and gathered among their own group. They whispered among their fellow disciples and kept asking about the situation on the cloud platform.

Despite what Qingling and Qingyun said, none of the people on the cloud platform were willing to leave. They all stayed in place, waiting for the person who had obtained the treasure to come out so they could see his true face.

The Buddhist and Taoist factions were fine, as they were righteous people and wouldn't have the intention to forcibly seize what they couldn't obtain. However, a slight commotion arose from the demon faction.

Yu Ke looked at Li Molin and asked in a low voice, "Young Master?"

After nearly an hour of recuperation, and with the abundant spiritual energy on the cloud platform, Li Molin's injuries had fully healed, and he had recovered thirty percent of his strength. A glint flashed in his eyes, and he whispered, "Give the order to prepare for the raid!"

Yu Ke smiled and nodded emphatically, "Yes!"
