Chapter 62 My name is Ahua, and his name is Liang Yihan

Outside Xuandao City, at the foot of the mountain, in a small grove of trees.

After Yu Ke and Ji Jue met up with Li Molin and Liu Li in the early morning, Li Molin's magic power had not yet recovered and his injuries had not yet healed, so the three of them and the fox decided to stay and rest.

That night, the three people and the fox formed a circle and lit a bonfire. Ji Jue was roasting a wild rabbit. The aroma of the roasted meat wafted out, making Liu Li's mouth water. She stared at the roasting meat on the fire without blinking.

Suddenly, a rustling sound came from the woods. Li Molin, Yu Ke, and Ji Jue immediately became alert. Yu Ke asked in a low voice, "Who is it?"

With a shout, the voice vanished instantly.

Li Molin gave Yu Ke a wink, and Yu Ke understood, quietly getting up and walking towards the direction from which the sound came.

Liuli glanced at Yu Ke, then turned back with little interest, looking once more at the sizzling meat on the fire.

Not long after, Yu Ke's shout and a woman's terrified scream came from afar.

Li Molin turned his head and saw Yu Ke holding a little girl who was struggling, slowly walking out of the darkness.

"You...you, let me go..." The little girl's voice was unclear, and she was having some difficulty speaking, as if she had just learned to speak.

Yu Ke grabbed the little girl and said to Li Molin, "Young Master, it's a cat demon."

Li Molin looked at the little girl. The flickering firelight illuminated her small face, revealing a round, chubby face with amber-colored eyes. Her facial features were similar to a human's, yet they also retained some feline characteristics.

The little girl trembled with fear upon seeing Li Molin, especially when Ji Jue looked up at her. She struggled violently, mumbling, "Meow... let me go, let me go..."

Liuli chuckled, looked up at the little girl, and said with a smile, "You little girl, you're really funny. Come here, little girl, come to your older sister... Yu Ke, let her go!"

Yu Ke looked at Li Molin questioningly, and Li Molin nodded lightly.

As soon as Yu Ke let go, the little girl ran to Liu Li and nimbly snuggled into Liu Li's arms, her eyes darting around warily as she watched Li Molin and the other two.

Liuli patted the little girl's head gently and said, "Don't be afraid, little girl, don't be afraid. With your older sister here, they won't dare to hurt you."

"Hmm..." The little girl looked up at Liuli and said gratefully, "Thank you, thank you, sister, meow."

Liuli smiled and asked softly, "Little girl, what's your name?"

The little girl answered softly, "My name is Ahua, and his name is Liang Yihan..."

The little girl said this without the slightest hesitation, as if she had practiced it countless times.

"Liang Yihan?" Liuli was taken aback, pondered for a moment, and then said thoughtfully, "This name sounds so familiar..."

Li Molin said indifferently, "Isn't he just that Taoist kid who snatched the rare treasure?"

"Oh, right." Liuli suddenly realized, "I remember now, it's him. Little girl, do you know Liang Yihan?"

Upon hearing Liuli mention Liang Yihan, Ahua's expression became even more excited. She meowed for a long time without being able to utter a single word. After a long while, she managed to suppress her excitement and mumbled, "I'm looking for, I'm looking for Liang Yihan... He, his name is Liang Yihan, Liang Yihan. Sister, do you know him? Can you take me to find him?"

As she spoke, tears welled up in Ahua's eyes, and her voice choked with sobs as she said, "I miss him so much, I really miss him, I want to see him again..."

Liuli was immediately moved with compassion. She hugged Ahua and said softly, "Okay, okay, I'll take you to find him."

"Thank you, sister." Ahua glanced gratefully at Liuli, then looked down at the roasting meat on the fire, swallowed hard, and mumbled, "Sister, I'm hungry..."

Liuli nodded and hurriedly waved to Ji Jue, saying, "Ji Jue, is the meat ready? Give it to me quickly."

Ji Jue glanced at the roasting meat over the fire and pondered, "It's probably only about 80% cooked now."

"Alright, that's enough." Liuli reached out her hand and said, "Give it to me now."

"Oh." Ji Jue nodded honestly and handed the roasted meat to Liu Li.

Liuli handed the whole roasted meat to Ahua and said softly, "Here you go, Ahua, be careful it's hot."

Ahua nodded, took the roasted meat, and began to wolf it down, eventually choking and coughing. Liuli quickly looked up at Ji Jue and called out, "Go quickly, go get me some water!"

"Oh." Ji Jue picked up the water bag and obediently walked towards a stream not far away.
