Li Susu found it amazing. They all sat in the yard waiting for their hair to dry after washing it, and had never seen a hair dryer before, but she seemed to have seen something similar at Teacher Wang's house.
Will this dry my hair?
Meng Wan nodded, picked up her comb, and gestured for Li Susu to sit down.
Because she hadn't taken care of her hair much, the ends were almost completely tangled. Meng Wan used hair oil to style her hair and then patiently combed through the tangles little by little.
Her movements were very gentle. Li Susu sniffed. She had only ever seen her mother treat her younger sister like this before.
My younger sister would sit on the doorstep playing with her toys, while her mother sat behind her, smiling as she told her stories and braided her hair.

Meng Wan agreed and turned on the hair dryer.
The sound was very quiet, so it wouldn't disturb anyone. The small room was filled with the whooshing sound of the hairdryer, the warm air, and the sound of fingers running through hair.
Gradually, Li Susu's eyelids became heavy.
