"Mr. Tang said he visited you this morning, but you seemed to be busy and couldn't make it. However, Mr. Tang said that if you can't wait, you can go back first, and he will take care of the rest."
The receptionist wore a sweet smile and showed no fear despite Qin Huai'an's difficult behavior.
Qin Huai'an was so angry he wanted to grind his teeth to powder, but he had no choice but to snort and sit down at the reception desk in the lobby.
Amidst the bustling crowd, people would occasionally glance at him before hurrying away. Qin Huai'an's face was ashen, and he felt as if he were sitting on pins and needles. The steward stood silently beside him.
The more smug Qin Huai'an was in the morning, the more he hated the two of them now.
On the top floor, the receptionist reported Qin Huai'an's arrival to Tang Qi. The latter responded but did not specify when he should come up.
Lin Bai watched the surveillance footage on his phone with great interest, suppressing a laugh.
"This old man is quite amusing. He wasn't like this at my house. He used to have his head bowed, as if he were my grandfather's grandson."
"Just a bully who preys on the weak and fears the strong, and a stubborn old man who loves to put on airs." Meng Wan wasn't surprised by Qin Huai'an's actions, as if she had expected it all along.
How long are you going to leave him hanging?
"Let's see if he's still there in an hour and a half."
Why an hour and a half?
"Giving him ten minutes is more than enough. It's twelve o'clock. Do you think he can even eat his fill?" Tang Qi gave Lin Bai a look that said, "Are you stupid?"
Lin Bai's eyes widened, and he gave Tang Qi a thumbs up.
"As expected of you!"
