"Waaaaah... Don't come any closer... Waaaah... I want to go home..."
A heart-wrenching cry came from the video, and Wang Feifei's heart clenched.
Ten minutes earlier, in the video, Xu Hui led two girls into the room, and Xu Hui's figure flashed past the foot of the bed.
The first thing he did when he came in was to draw the curtains.
The indoor light dimmed for a moment, then brightened again.
He turned on the light, picked up a convenience bag not far away, and dumped all the snacks inside out.
Snacks were scattered on the table.
The two girls stood pressed together by the door, too afraid to move.
Xu Hui sat at the foot of the bed and said softly:
"Come here, Uncle bought lots of snacks, come and have some."
After saying that, he waved for them to come over:
"Don't worry, we can buy more if it's not enough. We also have milk tea, haven't you all been wanting to try it?"
He picked up a bag of potato chips, tore it open, and put a chip in his mouth.
With his other hand, he held the open bag and stretched out his hand towards the girl:
"Here, take this and eat it."
Two girls walked over, sat around the table, and carefully began eating snacks.
They were simply dressed and spoke with a slight accent; they were probably children from poor families in towns and villages surrounding the county.
Wang Feifei knew that most of these children were left-behind children who never saw their parents all year round and were raised by their grandparents, leading a hard life.
The temptation of snacks was hard for them to resist, and Xu Hui made them lower their guard almost effortlessly.
Xu Hui saw them start eating snacks and said with a smile:
"You guys take your time eating, Uncle's going to turn on the TV."
After saying that, he left the monitored area.
Shortly afterward, the sound of a woman moaning could be heard in the video.
The girl immediately stopped, turned her head and saw the scene on the TV. She froze, standing there in a daze.
The slightly taller child on the left asked timidly:
"Uncle, can we go home? I don't want to play here anymore, I want to go home now."
"Oh? You want to go home so soon?"
Xu Hui approached with a sinister grin:
"We still have games to play later, don't rush."
He then took out a rope he had prepared beforehand from the black leather bag on the table, grabbed the timid girl next to him, and skillfully tied her hands and feet.
The girl's face was covered in tears as she begged her uncle to let him go.
Xu Hui ignored him and turned to grab another girl.
The girl was so frightened that she ran desperately towards the door, but Xu Hui grabbed her and restrained her arms.
She struggled desperately to break free, shook off his hand, crawled under the table, curled up in a corner, and sobbed, hugging herself.
"Go away, go away now! I want to go home, please, please let me go home!"
Xu Hui squatted down, placed his hands on the ground, and leaned forward:
"Don't be afraid, Uncle will take good care of you."
"Look how comfortable they are on TV. Uncle will make you comfortable too, okay? You'll like it once you try it."
He coaxed her as he slowly approached the girl.
The girl hid under the table, trembling all over, and pressed herself tightly against the back wall in fear.
Suddenly, Xu Hui grabbed the girl's ankles with both hands and dragged her away.
The girl's head slammed hard against the wall due to the sudden outward pull, and she became somewhat disoriented.
She was quickly dragged out and completely held in his arms, unable to break free no matter how hard she tried, and was finally violently thrown onto the bed.
The girl was completely terrified and could only cry and beg him:
"Waaaaah... Don't come any closer... Waaaaah... Please, let me go home..."
A heart-wrenching cry filled Wang Feifei's heart, and she closed her laptop, unable to bear watching any longer.
She took out the memory card, clutched it in her hand, and let it pierce her palm.
A bone-deep hatred consumed her...
The memory card, stained with blood, gleamed in the dim light.
As if it had been given life, it knew its mission.
Xu Hui, this beast must be made to pay the price!
The next morning, Wang Feifei copied the video from the memory card into three copies and saved them to three USB drives.
Two of the USB drives were sent by registered mail to two randomly selected mailboxes in rural towns.
The recipients were the Public Security Bureau of City A and the largest news media outlet.
To conceal her identity, Wang Feifei chose mailboxes located in blind spots of surveillance cameras, making it impossible to trace who the sender was.
Wang Feifei intends to put the third USB drive into the internet.
To protect the girl, she blurred the child's face and vital areas with mosaics.
The next step is to figure out how to send it out.
After thinking for a long time, Wang Feifei came up with a way to both release the video and hide herself.
This requires the help of other people.
Wang Feifei took a bus, changing buses several times, and finally arrived at an internet cafe in a small town on the western outskirts of the city.
The internet cafe is located in a very remote area, near the outermost rural settlement of the town, almost bordering farmland, and happens to be in a blind spot of the municipal surveillance system.
It was lunchtime, and the owner wasn't there. The receptionist was a young, inexperienced junior high school student who looked like she'd been temporarily brought in to help out.
Wang Feifei covered her face with a hat and a mask and walked straight into the internet cafe.
The receptionist saw it but ignored it; everyone around was busy playing games and didn't notice her either.
Wang Feifei chose a spot out of the surveillance cameras, lay down on the table, pretended to sleep, and waited for an opportunity.
The internet cafe was in a remote location, and it was midday, so there weren't many people online, and no one noticed her.
After lying there for about half an hour, finally, the opportunity came!
The guy behind me was having a blast playing a game when, without realizing it, a middle-aged man was standing behind him. The man grabbed him and kicked him out of his seat like he was catching a chicken.
"Damn it, I work myself to the bone every day, and you brat don't study properly, you're online all day."
"I'll beat you to death!" The man slapped him across the face and then kicked him.
Finally, the young man was beaten and dragged out the door by his father, and a fight broke out there.
A commotion erupted in the internet cafe, and people ran to the entrance to see what was going on.
Wang Feifei quickly moved to his seat and inserted the USB drive into the computer.
He posted videos on several game accounts and in game groups he operated.
This immediately caused an uproar: "Holy crap, did you post something this amazing?!"
After doing all this, Wang Feifei left quietly.
Using the deliveryman's identity was a last resort.
Wang Feifei thought to herself that he had nothing to do with the incident, and even if the investigation traced back to him, she wouldn't be implicated. There was no other way but to leave it at that.
All she can do now is wait...
