With a goal in mind, Wang Feifei drove back to the place that had caused her so much pain in her past life. Although the supermarket was still some distance from Yujing City, the closer she got to the residential area, the more uneasy she felt...
She was so afraid of running into Chu Xiang that her hands were trembling as she gripped the steering wheel.
Wang Feifei composed herself and parked the car in a secluded alley, a bit of a walk from the residential area.
Inside the car, she found a baseball cap, pulled the brim down low, and hid her entire face in the shadows.
She was wearing a mask and walking towards the supermarket with her head down.
It was a busy time at the supermarket, and Wang Feifei was searching through the shelves for a figure from her memory.
Suddenly she saw the warehouse door from her past life. Could he be inside?
Just as Wang Feifei was about to rush in, she heard a commotion coming from the vegetable section...
"Oh dear, oh dear, you're hitting an old man!"
She looked in the direction of the sound and saw a group of people gathered around the vegetable section. She vaguely felt that one of them looked familiar.
"You're so unreasonable, lady! You come to the supermarket every day to steal leaves. We're not doing business with you anymore. Is there anyone as shameless as you?" the boy shouted.
He snatched the baby bok choy from the older woman's hand and said angrily:
"Everyone, please be the judge. She broke a perfectly good cabbage into a baby bok choy and still charged it the price of a regular cabbage."
He pointed to a pile of leaves on the ground: "The leaves that have been broken off are piled up really high. How are we supposed to do business if you do this, ma'am? You've ruined perfectly good vegetables like this."
The older woman, realizing she was in the wrong, tried to run away, but the boy grabbed her sleeve. She struggled a few times but couldn't escape, and suddenly her body went limp, and she lay on the ground.
"Oh no, this might be a trap," Wang Feifei thought to herself, and squeezed into the crowd.
The boy had clearly never seen anything like this before and stood there dumbfounded for a moment.
Wang Feifei pushed through the crowd and shouted, "Make way, make way, what's going on?"
He stomped hard on the older woman's hand, and she screamed in pain, scrambling to her feet and running away as fast as she could...
Everyone present was stunned, including him.
"Oh dear, I'm so sorry, I didn't see anyone on the ground, I'm so sorry!"
Wang Feifei suppressed a laugh and quickly apologized.
The boy stared at her for a few seconds, then burst out laughing.
"Thank you so much, young lady."
"No need, no need to thank me. May I speak to you in private?"
