Chapter 75 Heading to the Grain Storage

"What? Are you planning to rob me outright?"

Faced with the threat of knives from several men, Chen Yu wore a mocking expression.

The middle-aged man known as "Old Liu" was also somewhat displeased with his two companions' rash actions and glared at them fiercely.

Then he said to Chen Yu in a deep voice, "Young brother, a wise man knows when to yield. I hope to negotiate with you amicably, but as you have seen, my two brothers have rather volatile tempers. If you don't cooperate, I can't guarantee what they might do."

Chen Yu's calm demeanor had already exceeded his expectations. Before he could figure out Chen Yu's true nature, he still didn't want to have a conflict with him.

However, Chen Yu simply smiled, touched his forehead, and with a flick of his wrist, a P226 pistol appeared in his hand, which he then aimed at the three men.

He said coldly, "I dislike being threatened the most."

Without waiting for the three men to react, he pulled the trigger. Three shots rang out, and the lean man fell into a pool of blood.

The other two fled in panic into the snowstorm.

Chen Yu smiled wryly: "I haven't practiced in a long time, so I've become a bit rusty."

He then switched to an M4 assault rifle from the other dimension and fired a burst of bullets at the two figures fleeing in panic through the snowstorm.

As the gunshots echoed, the two figures in the snowstorm fell instantly, never to move again.

After confirming that the three men were not accompanied, Chen Yu put away his gun, his face grim, and returned to the warehouse to continue clearing out supplies.

With the opening of the alternate dimension, Chen Yu collected piles of supplies into the logistics center's warehouse like a flowing river.

After cleaning, Chen Yu did not rush to leave. Instead, he went to a duty room, pushed open the door, and saw an old man in his sixties wrapped in several quilts, squatting in the corner, shivering.

"Good sir, I didn't see anything, please don't kill me!" The old man buried his head tightly, not daring to look at Chen Yu.

"Are you all alone here?" Chen Yu asked indifferently.

"Yes, with the natural disaster, everyone else went home last night. My child works in another city, and I would be alone if I went back, so I chose to stay here on duty," the old man explained.

Chen Yu nodded slightly upon hearing this, then took out three boxes of instant noodles, two boxes of bread, and an entrenching tool and placed them at the old man's door.

He then turned and got on his sled, disappearing into the vast snowstorm.

After a long while, the old man cautiously walked out of the house.

After confirming that Chen Yu had really left, the old man breathed a sigh of relief.

He was somewhat surprised when he saw the supplies Chen Yu had placed at the door for him.

However, he quickly realized what was happening, hurriedly moved his belongings inside, locked the door, and wrapped himself in the quilt again.

In fact, besides the supplies in the warehouse, there are also a lot of supplies piled up on the open ground outside.

However, everything outside was buried under the snow, and Chen Yu was too lazy to dig it up; he still had to get to his next destination!

Moreover, Chen Yu was never one to leave no room for compromise. He cleared out the logistics warehouse only to prevent anyone from hoarding supplies for personal gain, and a small amount of supplies could save a person's life.

The sled sped along the snow-covered road; Chen Yu's next destination was the grain depot in Zhongyang City.

If the supplies in a logistics center can support the rise of a small power, then grain depots are definitely the cradle for the growth of a large power.

According to Chen Yu's understanding, the grain depots in Zhongyang City store approximately 800,000 tons of grain, enough to feed 4 million people for a year.

Therefore, cleaning up grain storage facilities is absolutely necessary.

However, the Zhongyang City Grain Depot is located in the south of Anping City and in the northern suburbs of Anping City, with a straight-line distance of several tens of kilometers. Chen Yu really didn't know the specific situation there.

All he knew was that in his previous life, Zhongyang City was controlled by a large force called "Hope Camp," and that force was quite mysterious, so much so that even Chen Yu's "Fire Seed Base" dared not provoke it easily.

Given their power, the grain depots must have been under their control, but Chen Yu didn't know exactly when they took control.

Chen Yu pondered this as he drove across the vast snow-covered plains.

The density of falling snowflakes was much lower than before, allowing for a wider field of vision, so Chen Yu quickened his pace.

…………

At that moment, inside a small house by the roadside, two young men, covering their noses, were shivering around a raging fire.

"Damn it, if we can't find a way out, we'll either starve or freeze to death in this wretched place!" a young man dressed in a thin shirt and wearing a cotton hat cursed.

The other young man appeared taciturn; he was tightly wrapped in a worn-out cotton coat and did not respond to the other man's words.

He knew that it was precisely at times like these that he should conserve his energy, as complaining would not solve anything.

"Jun, are you fucking saying something? Are you mute?" the young man in the cotton hat roared. "If it weren't for you, we wouldn't be trapped here..."

Before the young man in the cotton hat could finish speaking, a kitchen knife was held to his neck.

"If you yell at me again, believe me, I'll kill you right now!" the young man called A-Jun said viciously.

The young man in the cotton hat shivered and said in a trembling voice, "Brother Jun, Brother Jun, I was wrong."

The young man in the cotton hat instantly became incredibly obedient, knowing that Ah Jun was truly capable of being ruthless.

Although both of them were thugs in the city, Ah Jun was notorious for his ruthlessness. He even dared to kill his own brother, let alone himself.
