Old Li suddenly launched an attack, swinging the iron rod in his hand and smashing it fiercely towards Chen Yu.
Chen Yu was prepared and simply dodged to the side.
Old Li missed his target with his stick, and the deep snow made it difficult for him to move. He quickly shouted at Old Wu and Old Zheng, "What are you standing there for? Come and help! Kill him, and everything he has will be ours!"
Old Wu and Old Zheng looked at each other in bewilderment, but neither of them took immediate action.
Old Zheng hesitated for a moment, then said cautiously, "Old Li, isn't this a bit inappropriate? Didn't we agree beforehand that we would only take the money and not hurt anyone?"
It wasn't because he was particularly kind-hearted, but because he considered that if the weather gradually warmed up in a few days and the world returned to order, they would be held accountable for killing someone today.
After all, countless eyes in the neighborhood were watching them right now.
Old Li glared at Old Wu and said fiercely, "What time is it? You're still thinking about this? This awful weather doesn't look like it's going to get any better. Do you really want to wait until the supplies run out and freeze or starve to death at home?"
At this point, Old Li looked at Chen Yu and said, "With such a disaster upon us, it's his fault that he hoards the sled and doesn't share! We're just protecting our right to survival, what's wrong with that?"
Old Wu was also swayed by Old Li's words. He glanced at Old Zheng, then at Chen Yu, a ruthless glint in his eyes. He knew that Old Li was telling the truth.
Eleven days have passed since this bizarre natural disaster struck, and there hasn't even been a sign of a reversal. With resources scarce, any extra resource could be a lifeline. If they could get their hands on this sled that can move freely in the extreme cold and snow today, it's no exaggeration to say that they would have material freedom!
Tempted by the availability of supplies and the prospect of survival, Lao Wu finally made up his mind.
He took a deep breath, gripped the screwdriver in his hand, and strode towards Chen Yu.
Seeing that Lao Li and Lao Wu were both surrounding Chen Yu, Lao Zheng gritted his teeth, pulled out a kitchen knife from behind his back, and joined the attack.
In an instant, the three surrounded Chen Yu from all sides.
"Is this your choice?" Chen Yu said calmly.
"Kid, you're about to die and you still dare to talk back? You're lucky you escaped from Zhou Hao and his gang of demons, but you're unlucky to have fallen into our hands!" Old Li grinned maliciously, then shouted to his two companions, "Attack together, let's finish this quickly, lest we attract those demons!"
As Old Li's sinister laughter echoed through the snowstorm, the three men's attacks grew increasingly fierce. Old Li wielded an iron rod, raining blows down on Chen Yu like a storm; Old Wu, wielding a screwdriver, nimbly darted around Chen Yu, searching for an opportunity to strike; while Old Zheng gripped a kitchen knife, intently watching Chen Yu's weaknesses, ready to deliver a fatal blow at any moment.
However, Chen Yu did not panic in the face of this situation. He was wearing a professional polar combat suit, which made him much more agile than the three men, who were dressed in bulky clothes, in the snow.
He skillfully dodged the three men's attacks while looking for an opportunity to counterattack.
Suddenly, Chen Yu rolled to the side, dodging Lao Li's iron rod, and simultaneously kicked Lao Wu in the stomach. Caught off guard, Lao Wu was sent flying backward, his screwdriver flying from his hand. Lao Zheng, seeing this, was alarmed and swung his cleaver at Chen Yu, but Chen Yu had anticipated his move, dodging it with a quick movement, grabbing Lao Zheng's wrist and twisting it forcefully. Lao Zheng cried out in pain, and the cleaver fell to the ground.
Seeing the situation was dire, Old Li knew his two companions were no longer able to fight, and he had to face Chen Yu alone. He gripped his iron rod tightly, took a deep breath, and prepared to launch his final attack.
However, just as he was about to make his move, Chen Yu suddenly stopped. He looked coldly at Old Li and said calmly, "The three of you could have lived, but you chose the wrong path. I'll give you a chance. Leave now, and I can pretend nothing happened."
Old Li was stunned for a moment; he hadn't expected Chen Yu to say such a thing.
Looking at Lao Wu and Lao Zheng lying on the ground, he couldn't help but feel a little shaken.
However, the thought that if he could own a sled, he could roam freely in this icy world, and no matter when this awful weather ended, he would never have to worry about supplies again.
Thinking of this, he regained his confidence.
"Kid, stop dreaming! You're going to die here today!" Old Li roared, brandishing his iron rod as he charged toward Chen Yu.
But this time, he had no chance. Chen Yu flashed and appeared behind him. He grabbed Old Li's neck with one hand and his iron rod with the other.
"You...you..." Old Li looked at Chen Yu in horror. He never expected that he would be defeated so quickly.
"I told you I'd give you a chance," Chen Yu said coldly, "but you didn't cherish it."
After saying that, he twisted his neck forcefully, and a crisp crack echoed. Old Li's eyes widened, his face filled with disbelief, before he slowly collapsed to the ground.
Upon seeing this, Lao Wu and Lao Zheng both screamed in terror.
They stared at Chen Yu, their eyes filled with fear. They never imagined that this seemingly young man would possess such formidable strength.
No wonder he was able to walk out of that terrifying building; it wasn't luck, but real skill!
Old Wu and Old Zheng deeply regretted their actions at this moment. Their greed and selfishness led them to misjudge the situation and underestimate Chen Yu's strength.
