Chapter 19 Buying Mushrooms

Chapter 19 Buying Mushrooms

When they were halfway back to camp, they encountered many people who had come out to collect resources and were heading back, so the group slowed down.

Seeing them walking back with the group, the more outgoing ones took the initiative to greet them.

"Hello, my name is Sun Yi. Are you also out collecting materials?" The girl had an ordinary appearance, but her smile was very infectious.

He had a backpack on his back and a basket in his hand.

"Hey Sun Yi, you can tell she's either a rich young lady, a purifier, or a fighter. Why are you trying to be nice to her when she's not interested?"

Another woman, who was pretty, spoke rather harshly.

Gu Qing merely glanced at her disdainfully before turning to look at the girl named Sun Yi. "My name is Gu Qing, I'm a Purifier, and I've come out here to collect."

"How was it? How was your day?"

Sun Yi smiled at her, and before replying, she glanced at the man beside her. The man was carrying a rather large bag on his back, which was mostly filled with something.

"We found a mushroom patch today. The mushrooms are still small, but there are quite a lot of them."

Seeing the two arguing so animatedly, the pretty woman glared at them angrily, then turned and walked away into the crowd.

The group of men and women were talking and glancing this way, clearly paying attention to them.

However, Gu Qing didn't say anything, and the others just preferred to avoid trouble. As long as they didn't come near her, they ignored them.

"What quality are your mushrooms? Do you have any pure ones?" Gu Qing asked the other party.

“They’re all low-pollution, and there are some pure ones too, but very few.” Sun Yi was a straightforward person. After saying that, she handed the basket in her hand to the man next to her, then unfastened the backpack behind her and took out an energy box.

The energy box was opened, and inside were pure, unpolluted mushrooms, which looked to weigh about half a pound.

Gu Qing didn't need to test it; she could tell just by looking at it. She put the mushrooms back in the box. "Are you going to eat them yourselves or sell them?"

Sun Yi closed the box after seeing that she had looked at it enough. "Of course we have to sell it. We don't have children now, and eating these things won't awaken them. It would be a complete waste."

"Then sell it to me. Do you want points, credits, or something else?" Gu Qing thought that although it was a little less, she was eating alone, and it would be enough for a meal when she got back.

Thinking of the deliciousness of the mushrooms, coupled with the aroma she had just smelled, she unconsciously wanted to swallow. After all, she could count on one hand the number of vegetables she had eaten since boarding the spaceship.

It's not that there's nothing for sale, but most of it is low-pollution, with few pure foods, even fewer pure vegetables, and they're all extremely expensive.

She used to eat only whole foods at home and never thought anything of it. But now that she's out on her own, she realizes how well the three people she's been taken care of.

Upon hearing this, Sun Yi quickly grabbed the man carrying a large bag next to her and said, "Ah Liang, this purifier wants to exchange our Pure Mushrooms. She wants to ask what we need in exchange."

The man named A-Liang nervously gripped the bag's opening. "If we're going to exchange it, could we trade it for a purified first-tier crystal core?"

The main reason is that crystal cores have so many uses. Energy foods are hard to store, but crystal cores can be saved up and used to upgrade to storage rings or other items later.

After all, the men in their family were quite capable in terms of combat strength among the gathering teams, but they didn't have a space ring, so they couldn't bring back much stuff each time.

As for points, they are only used by each legion and are not valid elsewhere.

Credits are more widely used, but in some regions or for specific items, buyers want to exchange for crystal cores rather than credits.

Fearing misunderstanding, he quickly added, "I know this is definitely not enough, but many of us in this group have collected some. Could you give me some time? I'll come find you as soon as I collect them."

Gu Qing glanced at the nervous couple, then smiled and said, "Okay, let's add each other as friends. I'll send you my address in a bit. Let me know before you come, and I won't be going out."

Upon hearing this, Sun Yi was overjoyed and quickly grabbed A Liang's hand, hopped a couple of times on the ground, and then ran over to add Gu Qing as a friend.

"Don't worry, I won't reveal your address to anyone."

Gu Qing preferred being around people who were very tactful and maintained a good sense of distance. For the latter half of the journey, they didn't use the flying vehicle and walked back directly.

I chatted with Sun Yi along the way and learned a lot about the lives of those on the outskirts who were not awakened.

Actually, it's not that she wasn't awakened; all three of her husbands were awakened, but they were all at the lowest level.

Moreover, their potential wasn't very high after testing, so only the second brother reached E-rank and joined a mercenary group to do odd jobs. The other two always went out to gather resources with the pioneering team.

However, they were still doing quite well, even qualifying for upper-class status. After all, all three men were Awakened, and although their abilities were weaker, they were still far stronger than those who hadn't awakened.

"By the way, what was the name of that woman who just ran over? Why did she talk like that? Did she have a conflict with you?"

Gu Qing wasn't particularly concerned, but she just couldn't resist gossiping.

Sun Yi adjusted the things in her hands. "Her name is Tiantian. Our two families used to be neighbors. Before we awakened, our relationship was pretty good."

After awakening, she didn't truly awaken; she harbored resentment and found fault with everyone. However, she was only good for gossip and didn't have the guts to do anything truly evil.

She couldn't help but explain to her childhood friend that she was afraid the purifier would hold a grudge.

After all, they are just ordinary people. Although the law is strict now, it can still be troublesome if they are held a grudge.

Gu Qing nodded. They had just arrived at the camp. They needed to be checked to prevent other people from sneaking in or bringing in prohibited items.
