"Fourth Brother, there are many more weapons in the secret room inside. Why don't you go in and find one yourself? I can't give this to you; it's for Second Brother." Xingxing sighed heavily. It wasn't easy for her; her brothers were getting harder and harder to manage.
Hearing that there were more in the secret room, the brothers exchanged glances and rushed into the secret room.
"Wow, so many weapons! Did that woman hide them all? We've struck gold! Let's take them all!" Zhou Sifu exclaimed, eager to grab everything.
Chow Tai Fook, Chow Sang Sang, and Chow Wu Fu weren't too particular about weapons. After looking around the secret room, they finally realized that the sword Xingxing had chosen for them was the best.
Zhou Sanfu drew his sword from its sheath and felt a flash of cold light from the blade, as if the air itself had cooled down several degrees.
"It truly is a fine sword. Xingxing's judgment is never wrong; she chose the best for us," Zhou Sanfu said with a smile.
Zhou Erfu followed Gu Yiqiao into the underground chamber, but after finding nothing of value, he immediately ran back up. He had seen many weapons there earlier and thought that the further in he went, the better the weapons would be, but all he found was an unconscious old man.
Gu Yiqiao called for his father, but the man didn't wake up after a long time. It was unclear whether he was dead or alive. Zhou Erfu had no interest in watching their life-and-death separation. He was preoccupied with the weapons and ran up first.
Zhou Sanfu saw him rummaging through a pile of weapons, and didn't mention that Xingxing had left him a precious sword. He only asked him how things were going.
"Gu Yiqiao's father, the old master Gu, is unconscious in the secret room down below. Gu Yiqiao was kneeling there crying his heart out, which gave me a headache, so I ran up here." Zhou Erfu had a bitter and resentful expression on his face.
"No, his father is courting death. If you don't advise him, how can he be in the mood to come and choose weapons?" Zhou Sanfu said speechlessly.
“I wouldn’t be of any use staying there. My two beautiful masters are downstairs. Second Master is giving Master Gu acupuncture, and Seventh Master is helping out. I was afraid of disturbing them, so I ran off first,” Zhou Erfu explained.
“In that case, we shouldn’t go down. Let’s go out first,” Zhou Dafu said.
"Why do you all have swords but I don't?" Zhou Erfu finally realized something was wrong. There were other swords in the secret room, but they didn't look as good as the ones his brothers had.
“Yours is outside. Xingxing was going to give it to you earlier, but you didn’t want it. Now you’re starting to complain.” Zhou Sanfu rolled his eyes at him.
Zhou Erfu followed his brothers out of the secret room, then fawned over Xingxing and shamelessly begged her for the sword.
Xingxing pouted, "If you do this again next time, I won't keep any for you. I'll definitely sell it, you hear me?"
"Yes, I heard you. There won't be a next time. Second Brother wouldn't dare to give you such a look." Zhou Erfu said with a forced smile.
Zhou Dafu was always kind and gentle. He had felt something was off earlier, and now he suddenly remembered, "This is the Gu family's place. Everything in the Gu family's house belongs to the Gu family. Isn't it inappropriate for us to take things without asking? Should we return them?"
“No need. These weapons are that woman’s private stash; they don’t belong to the Gu family,” Zhou Sanfu disagreed.
