The snow monkey stretched out its round head, sniffed it, and then quickly started crunching away.
"It likes to eat these things, so I can take care of it." Xingxing clapped her hands happily.
"Wait until it finishes eating, then observe its reaction," Zhu Lin advised. If the little monkey becomes unwell, sick, or dies after eating the rabbit meat, then there's no need to keep it.
Xingxing's smile froze for a moment before she understood what Zhu Lin meant. She felt a little down, fearing that the little guy would die after eating rabbit meat.
“Don’t look so sad. If the little thing is still alive and not sick in an hour, we’ll raise it. If it gets sick, we’ll let Fourth Master treat it. If it gets better, we’ll raise it too. At worst, Second Brother can catch snakes, spiders, and centipedes for it to eat every day.” Zhou Erfu came over to comfort Xingxing in a carefree manner.
But there was something he didn't say: if the disease couldn't be cured and the person died, then they would have to be buried. After all, this little thing had saved their lives, and they still had to collect the body.
"I want to hug it," Xingxing said, looking at Zhu Chumo.
Zhu Chumo placed the little snowball in the little girl's arms, and the little girl's sadness instantly dissipated by more than half. She happily hugged the little snowball and sat down to the side, chattering away.
"Can we find any other snow monkeys on this mountain?" Zhu Lin asked in a low voice.
Zhu Chumo shook his head, "I can't find a second one. This kind of monkey is rare. There can only be one silver-tipped snake's nest in a forest, and only one snow-round monkey at that. Some forests may have silver-tipped snake nests but not necessarily snow-round monkeys. This is the first time I've seen this kind of monkey."
We didn't know its habits, so we hadn't thought of catching a snow takin to deal with the snake army. But even if we had searched before, it wouldn't have helped; this little monkey was too small, probably not enough to handle the entire snake colony.
"It's alright. The snake army has been dealt with now. Hopefully, we won't encounter such troublesome beasts again. These deep mountains and forests really do have all sorts of poisonous creatures," Zhu Lin said, frowning.
An hour passed quickly. After eating rabbit and pheasant, the little dumpling played in Xingxing's arms for a while before falling fast asleep, its little belly bulging.
"Fourth Senior Brother, come quickly and check on Yuanyuan. Is it alright?" Xingxingyuan opened her big eyes, very worried about Xiaoxuetuan's health.
Zhu Chumo walked over and checked the little creature's body, then smiled gently and said, "Don't worry, it's fine. It's well-fed and sleeps soundly. You can raise it. It can even eat rabbit and pheasant meat, so I think it can eat other meats too. It's quite easy to raise."
"Thank you, Fourth Senior Brother." Xingxing was relieved, and a sweet smile bloomed on her little face.
