Chapter 67 The Stars Sell Steamed Buns

“Yes, if you want to add an egg or meat to your pancake, it costs an extra coin. Vegetable buns cost two coins, and meat buns cost three coins. Your aunt is very skilled; her pancakes and buns taste better than others. But why doesn’t anyone come to buy them?” Zhao Guihua looked at the crowds surrounding the two stalls next to her, somewhat dumbfounded.

Perhaps they've become familiar with the business and have many regular customers?

“Mommy, Auntie, Xingxing knows how to sell things! This is how the street vendors sell their goods, watch!” Xingxing walked to the stall, puffed out her little chest, and called out in her sweet little voice, “Selling pancakes! Fragrant and crispy pancakes! Selling steamed buns! Big, delicious, and cheap steamed buns! Come and buy! Cheap and delicious…”

The little guy's voice was both sweet and high-pitched, long and melodious, just like Zhao Guihua often said, Xingxing's voice was even better than a person's singing.

Xingxing called out for a while, and sure enough, it attracted a few people over. Several porters walked over with silly smiles on their faces. They looked at the cute little girl and couldn't help but want to tease her a bit.

"Little kid, are you selling these pancakes and steamed buns? How much are they? You promised they'd be delicious and cheap, otherwise we won't buy them."

After saying that, the several dark-skinned porters, covered in sweat, laughed heartily. Ruru, who was watching from the side, was a little afraid of these burly men and timidly peeked out from behind Zhao Guizhi.

Xingxing, however, seemed oblivious to fear. She laughed and giggled along with everyone, saying in a clear voice, "I'm here to help! My aunt sells food, and her pancakes and buns are so delicious, with lots of fillings!"

It tastes so good, you'll want to swallow your tongue too! It leaves you feeling so full. The pancakes and buns are huge, and they're really cheap! You should all come and buy some; you'll see I'm telling the truth once you try them.

The porters looked at her; she was a tiny little girl, with delicate features, like a doll that had stepped out of a New Year's painting. She talked nonstop with her little mouth, cute and innocent, yet earnestly promoting her products. After she finished speaking, she even picked up a steamed bun and ate it to show them.

"There's so much meat and broth inside, it's really delicious," she said, taking another big bite. "It's really good, you guys should come and buy some!"

Who can withstand this?

Several porters crowded around and took out their money to buy them, three each. More than a dozen were sold in one go. People have a herd mentality. Before, not many people came over, but now that they saw several people buying, others also gathered around.

After eating, everyone gave a thumbs up, saying, "Mmm, delicious, not bad. The little kid didn't lie to us. The pancakes and buns are both delicious, and the portions are generous."
