Chapter 45 I Don't Like This Assumption
Lu Xiwen told Lan Zhe to drive directly to Yunlu Bay.
Lan Zhe made a very smooth turn, and Pei Wu saw that the sky was gradually getting dark.

Pei Wu's breath was suddenly invaded by another breath. He raised his hand and wrapped it around Lu Xiwen's neck. The man's outline was carefully cut by the light, and he looked handsome no matter how you looked at him.
Reason was submerged in seawater, unable to rise or fall as he pleased. When he finally woke up from the tingling sensation all over his body, Lu Xiwen had already applied medicine to his lower back.
It was just a kiss, Pei Wu told herself, but she needed to be more assertive.

“Pei Wu,” Lu Xiwen said seriously, “I don’t like this assumption.”
Pei Wu turned her head and saw that Lu Xiwen's beautiful eyes still held a lingering desire, but his expression had turned cold. It wasn't that he was angry with Pei Wu, but rather that he genuinely disapproved of the idea of his partner being an Omega.
"Alright." Pei Wu sat up and gently ruffled Lu Xiwen's hair. "I was just kidding."
He didn't know why, but he suddenly had this assumption, even though he was a Beta.
Lu Xiwen remained silent, so Pei Wu asked again, "Are you hungry?"
"Didn't we agree on sweet and sour fish?"
"certainly."
Pei Wu steadied her breathing and went downstairs first.
Besides the sweet and sour fish, Pei Wu also took out some beef, cut it up, sprinkled it with salt, and then poured in the mixed scallion and ginger water in three batches. After stirring until it became elastic, he sprinkled some cornstarch to lock in the moisture. As for the great task of cutting onions, Pei Wu handed it over to Lu Xiwen.
"Is it that painful?" Lu Xiwen turned around and saw Pei Wu standing at the door, her eyes still red.

The fish was very big today. Lu Xiwen put two pieces of fish belly meat on Pei Wu's plate, but when Pei Wu shook his head, he started eating it from head to tail.
Neither of the two people at the table spoke. Suddenly, something brushed against their feet. Pei Wu looked down and saw that it was Tuanzi.
"When did you come in?" Pei Wu didn't even bother to eat, and scooped up the dumpling.
The little thing snuggled against him and kept licking Pei Wu's chin.
Lu Xiwen snorted softly, and for some reason raised his hand to scratch his ear.
“I took it to the glass enclosure upstairs.” Pei Wu remembered that Lu Xiwen said he was allergic to animal fur. The glass enclosure had underfloor heating, and you could clearly see the night sky when you looked up.
“Let’s go after we finish eating,” Lu Xiwen said in a deep voice. “A few more minutes won’t make a difference.”
Pei Wu ate much faster, and after putting down her chopsticks, she picked up Tuanzi and went upstairs.
Lu Xiwen felt both convinced and resentful. Although it was his pheromone entity, the two were still quite unfamiliar with each other.
