Chapter 33 is my pheromones.

Chapter 33 is my pheromones.

"I'm 1.8 meters tall," Pei Wu told herself silently.

It wasn't that he desperately needed help, but rather that the renovations in the old-style residential area were very illogical; the tops of the cabinets almost reached the ceiling.

"I'm asking you." Lu Xiwen didn't get a reply from Pei Wu, so he subconsciously searched for the bottle, but instead of grabbing it, he grabbed Pei Wu's hand.

As if electrocuted, Pei Wu abruptly withdrew.

The movement was rather swift, with a clear intention to avoid a confrontation. If Lu Xiwen had any sense, he would have stepped back and kept his distance.

But Lu Xiwen didn't move, maintaining the posture of holding Pei Wu in his arms, casting a shadow that was extremely covering and oppressive.

Lu Xiwen simply didn't want to run away; he wanted to confirm whatever he was hesitating about.

The man lowered his eyes, exuding a hint of danger.

"Pei Wu, isn't this the place?"

In her panic, Pei Wu hurriedly said, "Yes, the bottle has very obvious patterns that you can feel."

Lu Xiwen touched it on the second try.

He took it out and handed it to Pei Wu: "Is this it?"

Pei Wu took several deep breaths to calm herself, trying to appear composed. "Yes, this is it. Thank you, Mr. Lu."

"Pei Wu," Lu Xi said, "We're all men, why is your face so red?"

The crisp air took on a slightly provocative tone. For some reason, the heat he had finally managed to suppress began to surge back, growing stronger and stronger. This was a situation Pei Wu had never encountered before. His mind went blank, as if a power outage had occurred, and all his usual professional skills were rendered useless.

The most direct feeling is that there's something hooked in the air, entering through the pores and disrupting all effective thinking.

Having no other choice, Pei Wu could only say, "It's too hot."

He paused for a moment, then said, "Mr. Lu, haven't you finished that half-bottle of perfume yet?"

This scent aroused in Pei Wu a greedy desire to buy it for the first time.

"Pei Wu".

"Hmm?" The young man looked up, trying to appear calm, but his ears and neck were completely red.

Lu Xiwen found it amusing and said in a deep voice, "I've never had any perfume. What you're smelling is my pheromones."

What you're smelling is my pheromones...

My pheromones...

Pheromones...

This passage played in my mind almost on a loop.

Pei Wu's mind went completely blank. After an unknown amount of time, his body's protective mechanisms suddenly kicked in. He instinctively pushed Lu Xiwen away and retorted sharply, "Impossible! I'm a Beta."

"Have you forgotten about your differentiation problem?" Lu Xiwen stood up easily: "First it was Tao Jin, then Ji Bin. As a Beta, you reacted to their pheromones. I reminded you of that."

Pei Wu was speechless.

Lu Xiwen continued, his voice sounding both reassuring and suggestive: "It's nothing, Pei Wu. I'm top-tier. Since you react to pheromones, it's not surprising that you can smell mine."

Even so, the news still had a very strong impact on Pei Wu. He wasn't a slow learner, and he had already planned to see Doctor Zhou again to discuss the issues. What shocked him was that he was actually attracted to Lu Xiwen's pheromones...

I can't stop.

"It's just an illness, what's so scary about it?" Lu Xiwen reverted to her haughty and aloof demeanor, pointing to a bottle on the second shelf of the cabinet: "Wine?"

“Yes.” Pei Wu answered subconsciously.

Lu Xiwen: "Would you mind if I tried some?"

"No problem, I'll make some cold dishes." Pei Wu strode into the kitchen.

Lu Xiwen carried the wine to the sofa, took out an upside-down glass from a plate, poured himself a glass, drank it, and then poured a glass for Pei Wu.

Pei Wu sat down with a plate of chilled pork belly and a cucumber salad, her expression unchanged.

As expected of Pei Zhu, Lu Xi thought to himself, he was putting on such a convincing act.

The previous topic seemed to have been swept away, and the two drank and watched the show. Gradually, it became quite interesting. One of the skits was surprisingly good, and Pei Wu and Lu Xiwen both laughed.

Lu Xiwen asked Pei Wu to clink glasses, and Pei Wu clinked glasses with him in a crisp voice.

Lu Xiwen observed Pei Wu's drinking style and realized that he hadn't paid any attention to the wine; it wasn't strong in flavor, but its alcohol content was quite high.

After finishing the entire bottle, Pei Wu was still a little unsatisfied.

“The convenience store downstairs was open when I came, but I don’t know if it’s open now,” Lu Xiwen said.

Pei Wu stood up, then swayed slightly: "I'll go take a look."

Lu Xiwen reacted quickly, helping him up and standing up as well. "Together."

The convenience store was indeed open. The owner was a local, and since he had nothing else to do, he planned to close it in a little while. Their arrival was quite opportune; Pei Wu was carrying a bag of ice-cold beer.

Lu Xiwen stood behind Pei Wu and looked at him with a deep gaze.

The boss only breathed a sigh of relief after the two left, then looked at the door with disbelief.

The tall young man gave off a menacing vibe, but upon closer inspection, he was actually quite handsome. However, his aura was overwhelming, especially the way he looked at the person in front of him—was he about to devour him? He was definitely an Alpha.

Back in her room, Pei Wu took off her coat because she was so hot.

He was intoxicated by the alcohol, and it was clear that Pei Zhu's mind was disturbed by something, causing him to forget this fact.

Lu Xiwen also took off his coat, and then heard Pei Wu say slowly, "I may not have pajamas in your size here."

"Then just lend me one of your loose-fitting clothes."

"Hmm, okay." Pei Wu swallowed a mouthful of beer. The icy taste traveled down his throat to his heart, liver, spleen, lungs, and kidneys, but it only treated the symptoms, not the root cause. After a while, he still felt hot.

"Won't it be boring for you, Mr. Lu, to watch the show here with me?"

"Why would I stay here if I'm bored?"

Pei Wu chuckled. He firmly believed that if a person was truly drunk, they should lie on the ground motionless. If they could still speak and move, it meant that their subconscious was venting something under the influence of alcohol, or that they were free from restraint and doing things or saying things they wouldn't normally dare to do.

A lump formed in Pei Wu's throat, making even swallowing difficult.

After gulping down several mouthfuls of ice-cold beer, Pei Wu's stomach convulsed violently in protest. She frowned, then turned her head to look at Lu Xiwen.

Once again, Lu Xiwen was also watching him.

“You’ve been spying on me a lot lately,” Pei Wu said somewhat vaguely.

Lu Xiwen raised an eyebrow: "How did you know?"

Pei Wu withdrew his gaze, pressed his forehead against the back of his hand, unable to answer; he was no match for him.

Because he was also secretly watching Lu Xiwen.

Pei Wu was somewhat escapist, and then he finally got to the point of being "completely drunk".

The sounds were chaotic and intermittent, and his bones and flesh had turned into a paste. Even with his eyes closed, the darkness seemed to be spinning. Even his breath became hot. Suddenly, fireworks exploded. Pei Wu looked out the window with difficulty. The colorful lights were indeed beautiful. It felt like they were right downstairs. He wanted to take a closer look, but he couldn't stand up. He wanted to call out "Lu Xiwen", but he was too ashamed to say it.

Pei Wu was sitting on the carpet with his knees bent, with the sofa behind him. He leaned back, intending to lean against it, but instead found himself surrounded by a "human-shaped cushion".

The refreshing taste suddenly stimulated his mind, and Pei Wu almost fainted instantly.

Lu Xiwen's pheromones were released intensely.

He caught Pei Wu. The young man looked up, his face flushed, his brows furrowed, but his features were still captivating. The pheromones in the air seemed to be in a highly concentrated state of anticipation, and finally, as their owner slowly leaned down, they exploded at a certain moment.

Lu Xiwen's shadow on the wall changed, expanding and stretching from a human shape to resemble some kind of large feline.
