Chapter 343 Lost in the Dark Night

Yu Qianqian turned her gaze to Leng Yuexi, who was acting ungratefully, and became even more annoyed than before. She blurted out, "Beautiful lady, please get your facts straight. If I hadn't saved you, this big trouble, how could I have ended up like this?"

Upon hearing this, Leng Yuexi glared at her without any politeness and said, "Tch! When did I say I needed your help? You're just meddling in other people's business!"

"Hmph! I only helped you because I felt sorry for you. If I had known you would be so ungrateful, I wouldn't have cared whether you lived or died." Yu Qianqian was equally defiant, glaring at the ungrateful vase with a belly full of anger. Thinking about how she had foolishly gone to save her just now, she felt extremely regretful.

They deeply despised each other, argued for a while, and then immediately turned their backs to each other, watching the snowflakes fluttering in the sky, layer upon layer covering the empty wilderness, instantly freezing into ice. This made the two figures floating against this desolate backdrop appear so frail, as if they could be swallowed up by the raging wind and snow at any moment.

The night was incredibly cold, with howling winds like ghosts wailing and wolves howling, mixed with the deafening roar of flying sand and stones, echoing from the open fields.

The cold current swirled around the two women silently, piercing to the bone. After a short while, they could no longer withstand the biting winter chill and quickly hugged themselves tightly with their hands.

Seeing that they were trapped in this deadly place and would die sooner or later, Leng Yuexi couldn't care less about saving face. She curled up, trembling, and slowly turned to Yu Qianqian, saying in a trembling voice, "Hey! Yu Qianqian, even if we're not trying to escape from bad guys, we should still be careful. I've heard that this kind of place is most likely to encounter ferocious beasts, so I still think we shouldn't stay here any longer. For our safety, let's get out of here quickly!"

As Yu Qianqian listened to Leng Yuexi speak, her bright, dark almond-shaped eyes widened in disbelief as she asked in astonishment, "You...do you know me?"

Especially when she heard this woman she had never met call her name, she became more and more confused. Her expression suddenly darkened, and even the corners of her eyes turned an extremely abnormal scarlet.

Gradually, Yu Qianqian's gaze toward Leng Yuexi grew increasingly strange; her dark eyes, gleaming with a cold light, were as sharp as a knife.

"Of course I know you, what's the big deal?" Leng Yuexi met her gaze and smiled casually: "Let me put it this way, I was the one who personally invited you to Xingyue Tower as a guest back then, now you should understand, right?"

Hearing Leng Yuexi say these words with her own ears, Yu Qianqian felt extremely complicated. She suddenly realized what was going on and let out a scream that immediately broke her voice.

"So this is what you did?"

"Who are you, and why did you kidnap me?"

Not long after, Leng Yuexi looked at her pale face after learning the truth, curled her red lips, and chuckled softly: "Heh! You really didn't disappoint me at all when I said you were naive. If you're so capable, try to guess for yourself!"

"I'm too lazy to argue with you. If you're not going to leave, fine, I'll leave by myself." After saying that, she rolled her eyes at Yu Qianqian with disdain, then turned around without hesitation and trudged forward step by step through the knee-deep snow.
