Chapter Seventeen: Jealousy and Competitive Feelings (shuhaige.net)

Before he could finish speaking, Feng Yao had already walked over from a distance. Mu Beichen didn't even look up, a chess piece still between his long, slender, white fingers. When he glanced at her, a look of disgust unconsciously appeared on his face.

He has always despised scheming women, and although Feng Jin is complicated and always on guard against him, she is not as immoral as Feng Yao and is extremely cunning.

Feng Yao strolled closer to him, her face hidden behind a round fan, and chuckled softly: "Princess Jing has now run away from home, while Prince Jing is still leisurely playing chess here. If all of this were to accidentally reach the Emperor's ears, I wonder what he would think."

Mu Beichen raised an eyebrow and said coldly, "That's strange. Shouldn't you be more worried about your sister's safety at this time, Second Miss? What brings you here?"

Feng Yao slowly approached the peach tree, her gloating expression becoming even more pronounced. She couldn't swallow the humiliation she had suffered at the banquet because of Feng Jin. Fortunately, heaven had eyes and she discovered Su Yu, who had been following Feng Jin all the way to Xingyue Tower. Now was the perfect opportunity for her to retaliate.

"As the second young lady of the Prime Minister's residence, I will naturally care about my elder sister at all times. I came to the Prince Jing's residence today specifically to tell the Prince that the Prime Minister's residence has spent a lot of money to obtain definite information that the Princess Consort of Jing is currently drinking and making merry with His Highness the Crown Prince of Jiang Lan Kingdom at Xingyue Tower."

"Who are you calling a madman?" Mu Beichen was furious. His face darkened, and he roared fiercely, "Prepare the horses immediately! I want to go to Xingyue Tower myself... to see the Princess Consort!"

Outside the Star Moon Pavilion, a sudden neighing of horses rang out, and the tightly closed door was violently kicked open from the outside.

Wearing a magnificent black robe, Mu Beichen, with an aura as powerful as Mount Tai, walked in with several equally imposing bodyguards behind him, under the watchful eyes of the crowd.

The atmosphere around them froze instantly. The guards all stepped aside and automatically surrounded the entire Star Moon Tower. Mu Beichen's expression was stern, and he unsurprisingly shot his sharp gaze at Su Yu.

“Prince Jing, Xingyue Tower is so cramped, why are you bringing so many people... what are you doing here?” Su Yu paused deliberately in the middle, then turned to Mu Beichen and smiled casually, “Let’s hurry up and leave, otherwise, none of us will look good.”

Mu Beichen's eyes suddenly turned cold. He pursed his thin lips but did not reply to Su Yu. Instead, he involuntarily shifted his gaze to Feng Jin.

"Feng Jin, you come here!" He shouted this at the top of his lungs, his heart surging with boundless rage that seemed ready to explode at any moment.

The atmosphere remained unusually quiet. Everyone knew Mu Beichen's identity and naturally guessed that this handsome young man dared to confront him, which meant he was not someone to be trifled with.

She had only been away from the Prince's mansion for a short while, so what was wrong with this man that he actually came looking for her in person! Feng Jin didn't expect the countless strange looks around her, and turned her head away in anger and annoyance.

Since there was no way to explain it clearly, I might as well let him misunderstand.

Su Yu, who had been sitting on the sidelines watching the show, quickly caught the strange atmosphere around him out of the corner of his eye. He slowly got up, walked to Mu Beichen's side, patted the other's shoulder meaningfully, and said softly, "She's very interesting."

Upon hearing this, Mu Beichen's expression immediately turned even more grim, surpassing even the icy mountains in the Frozen Hell.

Feng Jin didn't hear what Su Yu said at all, but judging from Mu Beichen's murderous look, it probably wasn't anything nice.

"Feng Jin! I'm talking to you, are you deaf or mute?" Mu Beichen roared again, finally startling the people around him. Some timid guests were frightened away from their seats, but Feng Jin remained sitting calmly, drinking tea as if nothing had happened. From beginning to end, she didn't even bother to look at him.

Seeing Jin's indifferent attitude, he was finally enraged. His brow furrowed, and he coldly ordered, "Guards, seize the Princess!"

At a command, several experts fixed their gazes on Feng Jin, who was sitting in the same spot, and simultaneously rushed up from all directions without making a sound.

The next second, a white figure suddenly appeared next to the experts who were about to attack Feng Jin. Before everyone could react, Hua Mancheng's long sword was already at the neck of one of them.

The woman's screams and the guests' panicked escape caused the sound of porcelain flying everywhere.

From beginning to end, no one noticed Hua Mancheng's presence, and this decisive move was certainly not within Mu Beichen's expectations.

Feng Jin seized the opportunity immediately. Her figure flashed past everyone's eyes, and in an instant, she sealed Mu Beichen's throat with her bare hands.

"Listen up, all of you! If you don't want anything to happen to your master, you'd better get out of here right now!"

Her cold shout suddenly came out, and it was crystal clear to everyone's ears.

"Heh... I think you're tired of living." Mu Beichen smiled sinisterly, and with lightning speed, he struck Feng Jin's pressure point with his folding fan, forcing her to shut up.

He had no intention of giving Feng Jin a chance to resist. Now that he had struck her pressure points, he had skipped the fight altogether.

Everyone present was stunned, except for Su Yu, who was still shaking his head and chuckling. From the moment Mu Beichen appeared at Xingyue Tower, he had predicted that the other party would do anything to take Feng Jin away. If he didn't test him today, how would he know that this seemingly patient Prince Jing was actually cunning and had extraordinary strength?

Mu Beichen pulled the completely frozen Feng Jin into his arms and stormed out the door in full view of everyone.

The turmoil was essentially over. Su Yu remained in Beiyou Kingdom, and Hua Mancheng did not leave the capital city.

After returning to the Prince Jing's mansion, she felt as if she had a very long dream. In the dream, there were snow-capped mountains with rolling hills and misty snow. The handsome young man standing on the peak still had that same beautiful and otherworldly face, dressed in white with black cloud-patterned sleeves, and his flowing black hair was casually draped over his shoulders.

"Little Qian'er, I'm back." He spoke slowly, and a clear, jade-like voice entered her ears.

In an instant, the boy completely changed his appearance. He was tall and handsome, with deep and bright eyes, as if they contained the sacred pool water of the Kunlun Mountains.

She gazed at the god-like man from afar, who slowly walked from the other side of the cloud-capped peak. A gentle breeze blew around him, and crystal-clear snowflakes danced in the air on the snow-covered plain. The white robes on the man's body were even more sacred than the snow.

Feng Jin felt as if she were dreaming. The bright and dazzling light in front of her, as clear as moonlight, almost blinded her.

"Have we ever met beside the Three Lives Stone of our past lives, on the road to the Yellow Springs?"
