In the afternoon, Ling Jianghan was halfway through his homework when he suddenly received a message from He Minggao.

[I'll come to return your English notebook tomorrow afternoon. Are you free?]

Jiang Han thought for a moment before replying: [Okay.]

Anyway, I have to go back to school in the afternoon to attend some evening self-study classes, and I can also return He Minggao's math notes to him.

Just as Jiang Han was about to put his phone down and look for his notebook, a slender, strong hand snatched the phone away and placed it on the table. He subconsciously raised his head, and Qi Wuchen's lips were on his.

In the bedroom, Qi Wuchen would only become more wanton. Ling Jianghan was wearing headphones and didn't hear when he came over, but his intuition told him that it was best to go along with him at this moment.

Qi Wuchen turned the chair so it was facing him, then lifted one leg and knelt on the outside of Ling Jianghan's thigh, placing half his weight on it. Ling Jianghan tilted his neck back slightly, trying to create some distance between them, but Qi Wuchen reached out a hand and held the back of his head firmly, forcing him to continue responding.

Jiang Han reached out and pressed Qi Wuchen's shoulder, and the veins on his bony hand were visible due to the force.

"Hiss," Qi Wuchen stopped moving and spoke to him in this position: "Don't pinch me, baby."

Jiang Han took a slow breath and stepped back a fraction, cursing him in a trembling, hoarse voice, "Jealous bastard."

Qi Wuchen licked his lips, leaned close to his ear and asked with a smile, "I can't hear you clearly, what are you talking about?"

"You... um."

The next day at five in the afternoon, Ling Jianghan returned to school with Qi Wuchen, carrying He Minggao's notebook. He Minggao spotted Ling Jianghan on the side of the road, and unsurprisingly, saw Qi Wuchen following closely behind him.

When the two of them exchanged their notebooks, Qi Wuchen stood alone by the side without saying a word, which made Jiang Han and He Minggao say goodbye without saying a few words, and turned around to enter the school with Qi Wuchen.

At the end of the second evening study session, the two people sitting in front of them accidentally knocked over the cup Ling Jianghan had placed on the table while playing around, soaking his coat completely. It was hot in the mornings and cool at night in City C, and Qi Wuchen, worried about the man's fragile health, asked Ling Jianghan to take off his coat and put on his without a second thought.

After school, Qi Wuchen did not wear Ling Jianghan's coat. He casually threw the coat over his arm and followed Ling Jianghan.

When he got downstairs, Qi Wuchen realized that he had left his school badge in the classroom.

The school stipulates that day students cannot leave the school without showing their school badges, so Qi Wuchen had no choice but to return to the classroom alone and let Ling Jianghan walk a few steps ahead.

The day students wanted to go home early to rest, while the boarding students rushed back to the dormitory to wash up. Their slow pace made Jiang Han stand out among these two groups of hurried people.

He walked slowly, and when he walked out of the school gate, there were no people behind him, so Jiang Han stood aside to prevent the security guard from accidentally locking the school gate. Just as he took out his mobile phone from his pocket, he heard footsteps coming from far away behind him.

The surroundings gradually quieted down as the students left. The sound of high heels hitting the ground was now extremely clear. Jiang Han initially thought it was just a passerby, until he felt the person standing behind him. Only then did Jiang Han turn around and look behind him.

What came into view was a young woman who looked 80% similar to him in terms of her eyes and eyebrows. She had a face with delicate features and a little makeup. When she saw him turn around, she was stunned for a moment, and then she smiled at him.

"Long time no see, Jiang Han."

Ling Jiang Han stared at the woman for a few seconds, and his slightly furrowed brows gradually smoothed out after he saw the woman's eyes clearly.

He looked away and turned to walk away. After taking a few steps, he saw a black car parked across the street with a tall man standing in front and behind the car.

Jiang Han paused, and when he turned back to look at Cheng Huan, his eyes were full of impatience: "Is Madam Shen going to kidnap someone in the street?"

"What are you talking about?" Cheng Huan's smile still lingered as she patiently explained to him, "Mom just wants to take you home."

Jiang Han didn't know which of her words amused him: "Cheng Huan, haven't you been playing mahjong to exercise your brain recently? Why would I go back home with you?"

Cheng Huan froze for a moment, his expression immediately turning displeased: "Ling Jianghan, who taught you to speak so harshly?"

"If you think it sounds offensive, get out."

Ling Jianghan said this and was about to leave, but as soon as he turned around, Cheng Huan behind him grabbed his sleeve. Before he could shake her off, someone had already taken Cheng Huan's hand away from him.

Qi Wuchen took advantage of Cheng Huan's daze to pull her behind him, blinking at her with a pair of smiling eyes: "Mrs. Shen, if you have something to say, please say it. Don't dirty my clothes."

Cheng Huan was originally a little impatient because of his interruption, but when he took a closer look, he was completely stunned.

The two men across from them were about to make a move, but Cheng Huan stopped them with a look. She forced a smile and looked at Qi Wuchen, her voice unusually nervous, "Wuchen is here too."

"Yeah." Qi Wuchen smiled at her kindly: "What's the matter, Madam Shen?"

"Jiang Han didn't tell you, did he?" Cheng Huan showed an awkward smile on his face: "I'm his mother. I came here specially to take him home tonight."

Qi Wuchen glanced at Ling Jianghan, who was standing behind him with his eyes lowered and silent. Then he blinked his harmless eyes and looked at her strangely: "Jiang Han's surname is neither Chen nor Cheng, so why would he go back to your home?"

Cheng Huan choked for a moment, and when she wanted to speak again, Qi Wuchen didn't give her a chance to speak. He looked polite and distant, just like his father. "Madam Shen, you should ask his wishes before coming here, so as not to make a wasted trip and cause trouble. What do you think?"

Cheng Huan's expression grew increasingly grim. After a long moment, he managed an unnatural smile and replied, "...I was so anxious that I forgot to tell him. Next time I come, I'll definitely ask for his opinion first."

"That's what I was saying," Qi Wuchen said with a gentle smile, but the words he said pierced her heart: "Boss Chen has worked in this city with my father for many years. As his wife, you are always by his side. It's not like you haven't learned even these basic rules."

Qi Wuchen didn't have time to watch her face turn pale and blue. After saying goodbye hastily, he pulled Ling Jianghan away.

Ling Jianghan followed behind him without saying a word, so Qi Wuchen had no choice but to ask first: "Why did Cheng Huan suddenly come to you?"

"I don't know." Ling Jianghan tried to pull back the hand that Qi Wuchen was tightly holding. After failing, he asked, "How do you two know each other?"

"I met her once before at my dad's birthday party." Qi Wuchen put Ling Jianghan's hand in his pocket and covered it: "Ignore her and just stay with me."

Jiang Han just moved his fingers and stopped talking, which was a kind of agreement.

But Jiang Han knew very well who was accompanying whom between the two of them.

After arriving home, Ling Jianghan was stroking Chuyi's hair, while Qi Wuchen was leaning against the balcony door with his long legs bent, looking at his phone.

He stared at the thirty-nine unread messages and thirteen missed calls from Qi Zhinian in silence for a long time, and finally called his father.

Qi Zhinian on the other end answered almost instantly, and before he could say anything, he quickly said, "Wu Chen, I..."

"Are you busy lately?" Qi Wuchen asked.

Qi Zhinian was stunned for several seconds before reacting: "...What?"

"I asked you if you are busy recently." Qi Wuchen repeated it to him patiently, which was quite rare.

"Oh," Qi Zhinian confirmed that he had heard correctly: "Not busy."

Qi Wuchen walked to the balcony before asking, "Have you not cooperated with the Shen family recently?"

"The Shen family?" Qi Zhinian frowned and thought for a while before asking directly, "You mean Cheng Huan?"
