Chapter 57 Fifty-seven Slashes

Xu Jiang nodded, "I will be careful."

Lou Yunchun looked at her, wanting to say something but stopping himself. Xu Jiang looked back at him suspiciously, and he said sullenly, "Don't see Jiang Gu either."

"Um?"

Zeng Zhui also said: "Yes, if we can avoid seeing each other, then we will."

"Are you really that beautiful?" It would be fine if she didn't say it, but once she said it, I wanted to open my eyes even more.

Lou Yunchun stared at her without saying a word. She smiled with her eyes curved, then mouthed, "You are the most beautiful."

Lin Hongchu sat next to her and felt that he couldn't bear to watch it anymore.

It was getting late, and Lin Hongchu and Zeng Zhui should have gone home. Without a pass, they had no choice but to trouble Lou Yunchun to escort them back one by one. Before leaving, Xu Jiang went to the kitchen and got a fruit box, which she handed to Lou Yunchun.

When I opened it, I saw hawthorn berries covered with icing sugar neatly arranged inside.

Xu Jiang glanced at the two people outside, and while they were not paying attention, she pinched one and stuffed it into Lou Yunchun's mouth. She saw him chewing with his cheeks puffed out, and the corners of his mouth curled up.

"Is it tasty?"

Lou Yunchun was unable to speak, and only nodded with a smile in his eyes.

Seeing that she was coaxed, he said softly, "Go back."

Lou Yunchun pulled her hand over, wiped the icing off her fingers, then left with the fruit box.

Xu Jiang noticed with her sharp eyes that when he turned around, he touched his lips with the hand that was rubbing the frosting, and a warm feeling suddenly surged in her heart.

She watched the three of them leave, then rubbed her burning cheeks and muttered, "This guy is really..."

Things in this world often go against one's wishes. Things that you say you don't want to see will eventually be brought to you, and you can't avoid them or push them away.

When Jiang Gu appeared in front of the bookstore, dressed in a snow-white robe and with his arms and legs open, Xu Jiang finally saw what Luo Ze's cold and tender appearance was like. She was stunned for a moment before coming to her senses and immediately stood up to greet him.

"Madam Xu, I have invited Jiang Gu to come and talk to you in person."

Only then did Xu Jiang notice Feng Miao standing aside. His talent was too mediocre and was completely overshadowed by Jiang Gu's brilliance.

"Please come in, both of you."

Feng Miao glanced at Jiang Gu and saw him standing in front of the door with no intention of entering. A trace of embarrassment flashed across his face.

Xu Jiang remembered Feng Miao saying that Jiang Gu had sworn never to set foot in any bookstore again. She understood and said, "Forgive me for not entertaining you well. Let's talk here."

Feng Miao breathed a sigh of relief and said with a smile, "Thank you, Madam Xu, for your understanding."

The bookshop wasn't big, and the door wasn't wide. The three of them standing inside and outside the door had blocked the entrance, making it inconvenient for anyone to enter or exit. So Xu Jiang stepped out of the shop and quietly pushed the two men aside.

Feng Miao was a perceptive man, knowing that blocking the door was not a good idea, so he stepped aside. However, Jiang Gu hadn't even glanced at Xu Jiang since his arrival, so how could he possibly understand her thoughts? Only when Feng Miao squeezed in front of him did he instinctively step back.

There were two steps across the water in front of Xu Jiang's bookstore, but Jiang Gu forgot about it for a moment, and when he stepped back, he stepped on empty air and rolled down neatly.

The two people on the stairs were stunned.
