Chapter 114 The Taste Touches the Soul (2/2)

Then take another bite, and it's incredibly crispy and delicious.

With a gentle touch, the fish meat separates from the bones, eliminating the need for excessive picking. The fish meat is torn apart, revealing that the bones inside are intact.

Although the outside of this small yellow croaker was charred, the flesh inside was incredibly tender, sweet, and had a subtle ocean flavor.

Every bite is bursting with juice in your mouth.

If there hadn't been only two skewers of small yellow croaker, he would have wanted to eat another one; one skewer was definitely not enough.

"When will the grilled fish be ready? I really want to eat grilled fish."

They've almost finished eating the skewers, now they're just waiting for the grilled fish.

"I don't know. It's the 11th. It should be a while. Boss Shi is all alone. It must be too hard for him."

"Yes, why don't we hire more people to help?"

"I saw that her hands never stopped moving, she must be working really hard."

"Fortunately, we diners were all very polite and didn't rush her."

"We can't rush them, what if they stop selling? Everyone just wants to have a bite."

"Who said that? Look, isn't there someone throwing a tantrum over there? Let's go over and see what's going on."

At the art stall.

A man with muscular arms slammed his fist onto the table where she had placed her plates.

His eyes were wide with anger, and he was full of questions.

"Why hasn't my grilled fish arrived yet? It's been almost half an hour!"

"Hurry up! You're doing business like a tortoise, dawdling and slow. If you can't do it, hire someone. You're wasting my time!"

The sudden loud noise startled Shi Yi, causing her to drop a freshly grilled skewer of barbecue onto the ground.

A wave of annoyance washed over me. The whole chicken wing that I had painstakingly grilled had fallen to the ground and gotten dirty.

It's heartbreaking to see.

"If you don't want to wait, I can offer a refund."

"Besides, I already said when you ordered the grilled fish that it would take a long time," Shi Yi said coldly.

Since he was being so impolite, she didn't need to be polite either.

"Don't give me that nonsense. I've been waiting for ages, almost twenty minutes, and it's still not done. That's your problem."

"The skewers were grilled so badly! There was even a hair on the beef skewer I just ate!"

"I don't know how such unhygienic food became popular. Only people like you can eat it."

People around started to speak.

"That's impossible. Boss Shi's products have always been of very high quality."

"What nonsense are you spouting? Where's the evidence?"

Shi Yi: "You said there's hair in the skewers, can you take them out and let me see them?"

The man's expression changed. "I lost it, along with the skewers. It's so disgusting, I feel like throwing up just looking at it. How could I possibly keep it?"

Shi Yi clearly didn't believe it: "Where did you put it? I'll go check."

“Of course it is—” The man wanted to say that he threw it in the trash can, but there was no trash can around and he hadn’t left the area, so he said, “How should I know? It probably got crushed under my feet.”

Everyone says it's been trampled to pieces, so why would we go back to check on it?

But he underestimated Shi Yi's patience.

"Then I'll go take a look."

Shi Yi took off her gloves, temporarily took the skewers that weren't fully cooked, and walked out.

Which table were you at just now?

The man didn't speak; his face was stiff.

At that moment, someone in the crowd spoke up and pointed in a direction.

"Here, Boss Shi, they were eating here just now." (This chapter has been finished. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
