"They seemed to be enjoying their food very much; they didn't look like they thought it was bad."
"I looked around, but I didn't find any beef skewers lying on the ground!"
The surrounding diners all chimed in.
Shi Yi also went over and looked around, then shrugged and said, "There really isn't one. Sir, where is the beef skewer you said was lost?"
The man shouted again, "How should I know! Bad luck, I'm not eating here, give me my money back, I'm not going to argue with you!"
"What? You're leaving just because you can't win an argument? You made up baseless rumors that someone's barbecue tasted bad and had hair in it, but you didn't produce any evidence, yet you seemed to enjoy it."
The diners all showed expressions of disgust and aversion.
"It also delayed my time to eat barbecue skewers."
"Stop talking, I feel bad for those roasted chicken wings that fell on the ground!"
"Boss Shi, could I take that skewer on the ground back with me to feed my dog? I'll rinse it in water and then it'll be ready to eat it."
Shi Yi: "Of course, I'll put it in a bag for you later."
"Thank you, Boss Shi."
"Oh dear, I missed it. I wanted to get one for my dog too."
"Is it really a dog eating it? Or is it someone in disguise?"
"Hahaha."
Shi Yi smiled, then turned serious and said to the troublemaking man, "Okay, I'll refund your money for the grilled fish."
"What?! No way, I want a full refund, my whole table's!"
Shi Yi glanced over and saw that there were four people at their table, and each of them had taken six skewers of grilled meat.
"I can't give you a refund. You've already eaten the skewers, why should I return them? Besides, you said there was a problem, but you haven't provided any evidence, so why should I accept a refund?"
Do you think you can just bully her like a pushover? That's impossible.
"Exactly! They ate all the skewers and then had the nerve to ask for a refund. I've never seen anyone so shameless." Shi Fan leaned forward and, after hearing the whole story, couldn't stand it anymore and spoke up.
Ding Meina chimed in, "Exactly! Look at that skewer, there's not a single shred of meat on it. How clean did they eat it? They still have the nerve to say it's bad. If it's bad, how come they ate it so cleanly?"
Everyone's eyes turned to the dining table.
There were many empty skewers on the table, just as she said, they were indeed completely cleaned, with only the last bit of meat stuck to them remaining.
The men felt embarrassed, their faces turning red and then white.
"Alright, I'm not going to argue with you anymore. Just give me my money back for the grilled fish!"
Without saying a word, Shi Yi returned the money.
She couldn't be bothered to argue with someone like that; he was just looking for trouble.
Just as the money was returned, someone in the crowd exclaimed in surprise.
"Hey? If I remember correctly, aren't you the owner of the barbecue stall next door?"
"What kind of barbecue vendor?" The diners were puzzled, but upon hearing the question, they immediately grasped the key word: barbecue.
I couldn't help but suspect that it was indeed a competitor trying to cause trouble.
The man explained, "The resort previously leased out that area to someone who sold barbecue. He seemed to be the owner. Later, he was scolded for the barbecue being too bad and unhygienic, so he stopped running it."
"I remember it caused quite a stir back then; many people got stomach upset after eating it and had to go straight to the hospital."
"It seems like we were planning to continue doing barbecue, but then someone complained about it."
Now everyone understands.
The leader, feeling humiliated, pointed at the man and shouted, "What nonsense are you spouting!"
"I'm not making this up. I remember eating the skewers you grilled. They were absolutely awful. I don't know how long the ingredients had been frozen. The meat was mushy, the vegetables were wilted, and the portions were pitifully small."
