Han Qi's eyes suddenly became alert.
"Don't think about her."
Mr. Han smiled slightly and said, "Don't worry, I won't compete with you for a woman."
Han Qi was annoyed, "That's not what I meant!"
"Okay, okay, that's not what you meant. I said the wrong thing."
At this time, Mr. Han was surprisingly patient and looked a bit like a kind father.
But Han Qi had already lost his composure.
I touched his arm gently.
It is obvious that the outcome of this battle between father and son has been decided.
Han Qi took a deep breath and calmed down.
"Han Zhilin, I agreed to cooperate with you only because I can benefit from this project, not because I want to recognize you as my father."
Han Zhilin smiled slightly, "I know."
His eyes were particularly tolerant, as if he was looking at an ignorant child.
But such a look was enough to anger Han Qi.
"Mr. Han, we are here to discuss the project with you. Can we get to the point?"
I think if I don't speak up, this father and son will never get down to business.
Han Zhilin glanced at me and said, "Excuse me, are you his girlfriend?"
Since you think it's presumptuous, why ask?
Of course, I can't say this to such a powerful and elder person.
"No, we are colleagues."
"I see." Han Zhilin took a sip of coffee and frowned slightly. "I really can't get used to this bitter thing."
"Because you can't bear hardship at all."
Han Qi sneered,
Han Zhilin put down his coffee cup. "Why do you have to talk to your father like this? Can't you just talk to me calmly?"
"What do you and I have to talk about? How you abandoned my mother and became a live-in son-in-law?"
Han Zhilin said calmly, "Han Qi, you are no longer a child."
"Of course I'm not. If I were still young and energetic, I would probably have thrown this cup of coffee in your face."
It seemed that when he was in front of Mr. Han, all of Han Qi's rationality and calmness disappeared.
Han Zhilin sighed, "It seems that you can't talk to me calmly. I'll give you some time to calm down. If you still feel willing to cooperate with me, we can discuss the project."
Han Qi stood up suddenly.
Turning around to face the forbearing one, he said, "I'm going to the bathroom."
I watched him leave.
"There are very few girls around him, and you are the first one." Han Zhilin said.
I glanced at him.
“At work, there is no distinction between men and women.”
"What about private matters?"
I didn't really like his behavior of pretending to be caring but actually prying. I took a sip of coffee and said, "Mr. Han, your trick won't work with me."
Han Zhilin's smile deepened, "Oh?"
"After all, there is no entanglement between you and me, and I won't be easily angered by you."
This is obvious.
Han Zhilin raised an eyebrow. "Why do you say that? Am I trying to irritate anyone?"
"You don't have any?"
From the moment we came in, everything Mr. Han said and did was irritating Han Qi.
He knew clearly that Han Qi hated him.
It took him a lot of mental preparation to force himself to sit here. He hated it even more when he looked at him with that fatherly gaze.
Han Qi was unwilling to acknowledge such a father.
Han Zhilin smiled, "You are a smart kid."
"You're too kind."
This is an obvious fact, and anyone here can see it.
Han Qi simply lost his mind and was caught up in this complicated emotion.
As the saying goes, those who are involved are often confused.
Han Zhilin rubbed his fingers against the rim of his coffee cup. "What happened between his mother and me is a matter of the previous generation, but this child has always had grievances against me. I know he hates me deep down."
"Then you shouldn't force him in this way."
To outsiders, this may be the father's attempt to pave the way for his son, and it is the father's painstaking effort.
Yet I only saw persecution.
From the moment I met Mr. Han, I didn't have a good impression of him, even though he looked polite and like a gentleman.
There is no fault to be found in his every move.
The first time I met someone, I was polite enough.
But I still don't like him.
For no other reason than that he and Zhou Chenyan used the same methods.
Han Zhilin sighed, "You're his friend, so you should know how stubborn he is. If I call him and he doesn't answer, and I go to his house and he won't see me, I don't have any other options."
"But since you've already forced him to come see you, why would you deliberately provoke him?"
"He has resentment in his heart. If he is not allowed to vent it, how can he truly face his inner self?"
These words made me laugh.
"Mr. Han, now I understand why Han Qi hates you."
Han Zhilin pretended to listen attentively, "Why don't you tell me about it? That way I can correct my mistakes and achieve harmony between father and son as soon as possible."
"With your attitude and methods, you will never get what you want."
Tough measures and indirect threats.
It is impossible for anyone to accept it calmly.
Especially when there is resentment.
"You may not understand your son very well." I thought for a moment, "Han Qi is like a pool of water. On the surface, it looks calm. If you throw a stone in, it will immediately sink to the bottom. But that doesn't mean there aren't undercurrents. If you push too hard, it will only backfire."
